Never tell me the odds
Empire of Japan
Government: Crowned DemocracyEmperor: Toyotawa Iwao
Ruling Party: Japanese Democratic Party
Claims:
Spoiler :

I claim Japan. Mainland Japan returns.
It goes without saying Texarkana immediately declares war on Caribbean piracy and that no peace is possible until piracy is renounced.
Your pitiful aggression on our business
(instead of, say, offer us reason to privateer for you so that we can hinder your potential rivals)
will further come by your threats against King Elton's lands.
They just so happily to be lands that do business. If you do engage do be aware that we are to offer our businesses to the United Arab Republic and the Roman Empire in deterrence.
Keep in mind that we will have the advantage at sea, while your land lovers have to keep ready in case of land wars.
However we should mention our part in... "troubling" the Republic of Cuba should be reason for you not to be so harsh to us. It is not too late to learn some manners and join the profiting club as oppose to the "at risk of having Atlantic trade routes crippled" club.
Like the War on Drugs the War on Piracy will end badly for you. Do not make a mistake of going to war with the rouges.
OOC: also pre-game start war declarations are rather ungentlemanly, especially as you have not seen any actions yet (this post actions are protective measures to your... warmongering) and anyway you could have used my presence as a excuse to hail...-
If you do engage do be aware that we are to offer our businesses to the United Arab Republic and the Roman Empire in deterrence.
OOC: Your solution is for me to surrender Sone? In other words the MP3 thing again, which you go against nations you do not like design of? Perhapes everyone should declare war on you for having a Confederal similar flag and hence supportive of slavery?
The point is: pre-turn 1 wars are silly, redundant and only serve to prove problematic with both parties involved (turn one wars are at the expense of the players) especially in how your basically implying a player should change their nation by method of a threat.
Andreas I Laskaris is offended that the Pirate confederacy woudl jsut assume the Roman Empire would help out. please dont assume such wild things again.
The Roman Empire would find that Texarkana would be a more stable and loyal trade partner. If Laskaris ever deems it fit, we here in the capital would be more than happy to invite the Roman leader to Texarkana for a diplomatic summit and get-together, along with the leaders of the UAR (OOC: Forgive me, I'm not entirely sure how the UAR works).
Signed,
Mayor Hannegan IV
