The Platonic Republic is committing to help nations, not conquer them. We simply providing the needs for a faction that is willing to both Platonic and Roman ideologies secure peace. In the end the Volostan is just ensuring our backyard is not in chaos.

"I can't believe we just did that..."

"Shut up and drive, Ilsa," another woman barked, climbing into the back of the van. She slammed the back doors shut just as the vehicle began speeding off. Wiping her brow, she tugged off her wool cap to expose her flaming red hair before taking off her vest. "Gotta ditch these, just in case," the woman mused, setting it aside.

"You're sure no one saw you?" a bespectacled third woman demanded, her hand resting dangerously on a sawn-off shotgun.

"Of course not, the cameras all have blind spots a mile wide. Can't risk leaving evidence, though..."

"Goddess, Karla, if you get us caught..."

"WHAT?" Ilsa shouted, hitting the brakes a little too hard as the ambulance shot past them. Karla wasn't buckled in and was thrown around the back of the van. The other woman simply sighed and continued flipping through her autographed copy of The Folly of Men.

"Calm down, Ilsa," the bespectacled woman advised her. "We have struck a great blow against the patriarchy today. You should be proud of your actions."

"Y-yes, Mistress..."

"And if Claudia takes over, it's only the first step to dismantling the wicked patriarchy," Karla smirked. Pulling a 9mm pistol out of her boot, she observed it sadly. "Shame I can't just walk up and shoot the Archduke, you know?"

The woman in glasses clapped the book shut and brushed aside her hair, briefly exposing the long, smooth scar along her left cheek. "That would have been unwise, Karla."

"Oh, come on Mistress. The explosive is fancy and all, but wouldn't you rather have the satisfaction of walking up to that pig's face, looking him straight in the eye, and then..." Karla pointed the pistol at her own head, grinning madly. "Pop!"

"Karla," the woman said, taking her free hand in both of her own. "I would love nothing more than to give you that satisfaction. But our work is not done."

Karla gave her an incredulous look. "But we just nailed the-"

"The plan was a success, never forget that. With my planning, Ilsa's access to the palace, and your courageous infiltration, we struck a great blow for womankind. But you must never forget that we are at war."

Smiling warmly, the woman replaced her glasses and gestured to the book she was cradling in her arms.

"The coming days will be bitter for all of us. The male will not lie down so easily. They will hunt us down until the bitter end. Until that day, we will resist. We will hide from their prying eyes and strike back when the time is right. We cannot rest until the chauvinist tyranny is dismantled and their leaders are made to pay for their crimes against womankind. Our cause is too great to be silenced. Together, we shall strike a blow not just for the future of Austria, but for the sake of all woman everywhere. Together, our cause is unstoppable!"

In the front seat of the van, Ilsa was crying silently.

6 months later...

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen of the press," Archduchess Claudia said sweetly. "I hope you are well, this is an important day for us all."

Claudia smiled as the cameras flashed in her direction. The press had always been easy on her, given the circumstances which she assumed the throne under. She didn't like the idea that she was essentially using her father's death for political reasons, but it did make the regime change easier. No one was going to oppose someone who just lost their father in a terrorist attack, after all. As for the press conference, it wasn't going to be hard to get through either.

"Now then, let's open the floor to questions before we get to the important business," Claudia said, adjusting the microphone in front of her.

"Bastian Kohler, Austrian Report," chimed a beefy man in the front row. "Could you respond to rumors that you're pushing questionable legislation regarding woman's rights? Specifically the Rights Act of 2104?"

"That was a holdover from my father's administration, and nothing much has been altered. I can assure you that no legislation is in the works that will restrict the rights of either gender."

"But the Act is still on the table?"

"Yes. If it makes you feel any better, I read that French feminist's book too. Cheese doesn't even have that many holes."

This got her an affectionate chuckle from the crowd, and the reporter seemed satisfied. A blonde woman in the crowd stood up.

"Frieda Scuhart, Channel 7 news. Do you have any comment on the arms deal the government recently made with Heckler & Koch?"

"It's part of a larger effort to modernize the armed forces of Austria. Our arsenals are outdated, and the deal made with HK will arm our soldiers with the latest weaponry available. The HK Deal is the first step in a broader program that will secure our borders against outside threats."

"But won't a modernization program be costly in the long run?"

"Not for much longer. Which brings me to my next announcement."

The room went quiet. The blonde reporter looked at her eagerly.

"We are currently in talks with officials of the Prussian government to formalize the union of our nations into a stronger, centralized government. The end result of our nations will hopefully be a union under the banner of what will become the German Empire."

There was a stunned silence, then the room exploded. Smiling as always, Claudia answered the rapid questions that were thrown at her with ease. Half an hour later, she glanced at her watch.

"I think that's all the time we have for today. As fun as this was, we don't really have the time to stay all day and chat. We'll be holding another press conference when the German Empire plan progresses, but in the meantime, have a good night!" The press shouted more questions anyway as she walked through the side door into the hallway.

"That was impressive," commented Thorsten, her chief of staff. "How did you answer those questions so calmly?"

"I was just being casual," Claudia mused, stuffing her hands into her pockets. "If I went in there with a flowing dress and a refined accent, it would be much harder to get them to listen. No one likes being talked down to by some princess."

"Works for me," Thorsten said, putting a hand to his earpiece. "Ambassador Voigts is waiting in the conference room, you'd better head down there."

"Yeah, don't want to keep her waiting, she gets testy. Are all of our diplomats that cranky?"

"The good ones, yes," Thorsten answered, chuckling. "I've been told it comes with the j-"

They both turned the corner and nearly walked into the maid coming the opposite direction. She gasped and took a step back before reaching into the flap on the front of her apron. Claudia opened her mouth to say hello, but was rendered speechless when the maid pulled out a semi-automatic pistol.

Thorsten charged her, his instincts as a former soldier evidently taking over. Shrieking, the maid fired straight into the ceiling before she was tackled to the ground. At the sound of the shot, a door slammed open and the guards came rushing in.

"What's going on?" a guard asked her.

"I think someone just tried to kill me," Claudia said coolly. Thorsten stood up and dusted himself off while the guards led the maid away.

"Well, I have no words," he intoned. "Are you hurt, ma'am?"

"I'm fine Thorsten," Claudia reassured him. "But I would really like to know exactly what happened."

"Could be the same people who went after your father..."

Claudia felt a lump in her throat, but ignored it for now. "Who would be so fanatical to wait six months before coming for me, though?"

As she was handed off to the police by the royal guards, Ilsa was crying silently.

World News!

UNVIFOR Operations

Resounding success in northern Vietnam, the area controlled by the Warlords has been pacified and in a joint effort between UNVIFOR forces and the government of Laos the Northern Area of Vietnam is now considered relatively safe with vast improvements compared to before the intervention.

Japanese Offensive

On The 18th July Japan launched its offensive against the peacekeepers. The first stage was an aerial bombardment of the northern territories with huge amounts of napalm bombs. Thousands died in civilian areas in the resulting chaos. Nextly a large Japanese army group attacked from Hanoi, it was only just held back in a unexpected turn of events where the Warlords' forces joined the Peacekeepers against a common foe. Japan didn't manage to take the territory. However in the south a two pronged land and amphibious invasion took place and though resistance was fierce they managed to take Ho Chi Minh city the previous base of the UN forces. This is set to cause chaos among the UN forces as with the loss of their staging ground they have lost any Vietnam based air support and their main supply routes.

Operation Eunomia

Platonic forces entered Thessalonia in late June. The Thessalonian resistance was totally comprised of the "People's Militias" and of the population of 8,000 adults over 6,500 of them took up arms in this conflict. The Republics condoning of the use of full military action against these people caused the deaths of around 5,000 militiamen. The majority of the remaining citizens and children have fled to Libya to join up with separatist groups there. Overall the military operation was classed as a resounding success however Thessaloniki remains now a ghost town, no one even remaining to tell the story.

People's Militia of Libya

In Libya there is growing dissent over the conditions in the caste system and this has led to the rise a group of separatists lead by Abu al-Fadl Abdulrashid an Islamic-Socialist leader who has aims of open rebellion against the Platonic Republic when the time is right, he has the devotion of many members of the productive caste in Libya and now has the influx of the Thessalonians too. His group call themselves the People's Militia and though they have not done anything too illegal yet it is only a matter of time before they are in open rebellion against the Republic.

Gangnam Restoration Program

The New initiatives in Korea have been met with resounding success, The Gangnam republic now represents a new powerful economy in the east. Along with the developments in Indonesia and Malacca it is though that the economic boom in Asia is due once again to effects previously analysed by this news service.

Indonesia Rising

Though a relatively new Power in the world Indonesia quickly established itself as a dominating forces in East Asia. With one of the best militaries, a growing economy and shrewd negotiating with its neighbor to secure its borders it is considered by many to be a contender with some of the older powerful nations such as Texarkana and France. Only time will tell if Indonesia will truly become one of the world's superpowers.

Rosemary Pie

In a controversial faux pas the French Ambassador to Austria was served a pie which was served with rosemary as a flavoring. The Ambassador stormed out of the building saying that she had never been so insulted.

Algae vs Thorium, the Big Debate

With Thorium reactor development being continued in China and Europe it has been called into question how efficient this method of power generation is compared to the Algae method which is beginning to take hold in Indonesia. The Indonesian method is a lot easier to set up yet still the Platonic Republic continues to try and get to grips with Thorium power. A large accident happened in a test thorium reactor in Roman controlled Cyprus earlier this year and so many are wary of using it. However in Sìchuān the method is really catching on.

Free Chinese Army Developmental Arsenal Criticized by the USA

Following the release of their new arsenal Sìchuān's weapons R&D came under criticism from the USA however soon after cooperation followed with the USA suggesting improvements for the weaponry and what could be done to help their armed forces. Analysts predict that this could be the start of a new friendship between the two nations.

Another attempt on the Austrian Leadership

Even with the archduke still fresh in his grave an attempt was made on the life of the Austrian leader. Many are currently blaming French radicals and terrorists however some are suggesting that it was an attempt on her life by chauvinistic groups in order to install a male leader who might take more of a hard line against the French.

School Shooting in France

Following a school shooting in France a major investigation is being taken into who the shooter was. It is currently rumored that the shooter was an STD member in which case many questions are called into doubt as to how safe France really is. Many are campaigning for better conditions for STD members and services such as counselling that should be made more readily available in order to stop things like this happening again in the future.

Holy Roman Empire Reorganised

Following new legislation in the Empire it has been Austria is now going to take much more control over the constituent nations. This marks Austria out as one of the most powerful nations in the world holding some of the most prosperous regions left in Europe and a large military as well. It is feared though that more leadership crises in the future could jeopardise Austria's dominance of the Union.

Stats

Citizens of the Platonic Republic, be they the humble workers of the Productive Caste, the brave soldiers of the Protective Case or the wise philosophers of the Governing Caste: heed well for I bring tidings of joy and caution!

As noted the great General Xylon Toto and his brave fellow members of the Protective Caste they liberated the city of Thessaloniki and its surrounding areas from the enemies of justice! A special medal, the Badge of Eunomia, will be granted to all troops who fought for the restoration of Thessaloniki into the Platonic Republic, both our own Protective Caste members and the Roman military personnel who joined in aiding our mission of liberation. They will wear this medal with courage and pride as they have earned the respect of all members of the Platonic Republic! Today I salute heroism! "Hence," as once was said, "you will not say that Greeks fight like heroes but that heroes fight like Greeks." All castes will embrace the joy of Greece, as they adore the bravery of Operation Eunomia!

But... we are not due to sloth, for there are both reconstruction efforts in Thessaloniki, which will see the city set to be a grand beacon of Platonic values (with the aid of migrants of course)... and the dealings with a growing cancer that threatens to make ill of the Platonic Republic. This cancer I must address now for if we ignore it I should inform that it will not ignore us. This... disease echoes to plague our beautiful holdings in Libya and hence spread across ALL Platonic lands till we all suffer from the injustice. This plague has given itself a name to hide its boils of toxin, eager to hinder the necessary social engineering needed to ensure a moderately productive, bravely protected and wisely governed society. The cancer calls itself...

...the "People's" Militia!

This proclaims itself as a group of liberation but it is a force that stand against justice. Leaded by the terrorist Abu al-Fadl Abdulrashid they plot to undo the glories of the Platonic Republic! As the face of the Philosopher Council I have taken account that we must address the plague before it causes a epidemic. The terrorist cell is made up of traitors and madmen, eager to bring chaos. Citizens are likely to be deluded into joining this cult of chaos and hence our interests are to liberate the deluded from chaos and ignorance. We hence declare the terrorist group known as the "People's" Militia criminal; they are not a military faction that fights with bravery but a den of cowardice, contrast to the heroic Protective Caste which drove out the "People's" Militia from Thessaloniki.

Like criminals they must not be dealt with in the more... conventional manner of war but a unconventional manner of law. As such I hereby declare a special unit of the Protective Caste will be created forth for both law and war purposes, for both war and law can equally be arenas which both could hinder the Platonic Republic if the Republic does not address the thread with full consideration.

They will be known as the Cerberus Pack, a special new military police and special military operations unit set to fight insurgency, hinder the most infamous of dangerous criminals and (in war) provide us as a elite commando unit.

I will give the "People's" Militia a chance to cease its ill quest; as we bring Macedonia and Albania into Platonic law by methods of our consultations with their local elites we will begin operations in Libya to secure out possible hideouts of the so called "People's" Militia. Special anti-terrorist laws will be debated in the Philosopher Council in the mean time, to consider methods of counting the threat. Citizens are advised to be vigilant and help their local police if they detect any citizen will... strange considerations that may pose a threat to the Platonic Republic, such as supporting the terrorist cowards hiding in Libya or plotting to aid in terrorist bombings. The Cerberus Pack will aid in sniffing out the more serious threats...

Long live the Platonic Republic and Plato's vision of the most just society!

Claims below: cyan claims are peacefully convinced to join the Platonic Republic by incorporating the local elites into setting a structure as part of the Platonic Republic. Greens claims are to be "convinced to join" the Platonic Republic by aid of the Protective Caste, especially with the Cerberus Pack hunting for any hideouts of the People's Militia.

OOC: this is going to be fun! :D

You know what I meant.

The first lights of dawn shone over the cliffs and along the horizontal line where the sea and the sky met. Captain Surya Adi Kaur watched for a second at the magnificent scene, of tones orange, red and purple where the odd cloud shaded the rising light, before entering the bridge. The night shift was just over and the day crew were taking their places. At any moment, the order could be given to man the battle stations.

The FBS Brunei cut through the waves at 30 knots. Around her, a myriad of escort ships and transport vessels struggled to keep up with her advance. Surya was embarrassed that a full task force had been assembled for this mission, complete with amphibious landings. Certainly, the Brunei needed no escort for a simple raid on a pirate base. Of course this was no simple raid, but surely her guns could take more than they would find there.

“Captain?” A familiar voice outside asked as Surya was closing the hatch.

“Lieutenant Chen, you should be at your station already.” Captain Kaur rolled his eyes.

“I was sir; I went our searching for you, sir.”

“What happened, lieutenant?”

“Coded message from the High Command, sir, the army is moving into the province to back us up. We are to begin our attack immediately.” Captain Kaur hurried over to a speaker and pressed a button.

“Commander Suharto, all men to battle stations, get us full speed, force the machines, I don’t care what you do, but get us to that goddamned port in an hour!” He yelled at the speaker.
The speaker flickered for an instant before a voice, presumably Suharto’s, could be heard through it.

“Sir, we should have a visual on the port any minute now.”

“Excellent. Lieutenant Chen, signal every vessel in the task force to prepare their positions. We will be engaging any second now.” He then pressed another button in the speaker: “Missile room, prepare to launch as soon as we have a visual on the target.”

“Roger that, sir.”

“If all goes well, Chen, I will become the first genuine Admiral of the Malaccan Navy.” Surya sure felt smug. This operation can’t go wrong, he thought. We’ll wipe out piracy from the Java Sea. All thanks to me.

The port sat at the very place where the cliffs were born, where they are lower. As soon as the bridge had visual contact with the outer port facilities, a slice of sun slipped over the edge of the lower cliffs, dying everything red, orange and yellow. Suddenly, a yellow blast emerged from the deck of the Brunei. Instants later, another devastating and significantly larger blast of fire consumed a hangar-like building, seemingly the shipyard. With the echo of a hundred thunder striking at once, other buildings nearby collapsed as people tiny as dots or coloured speckles could be seen hurrying into the streets.

“Done with the warning shot. Now sink those dinghies.” Captain Kaur was yelling at the speaker again. “We need the seas clean for ground troops to land.”

It was all very fast. Within the hour, everything that lay in and around the port were shipwrecks, ruins and dust. Transports had made it to the shore and troops were rounding up anything that moved.

“The southern tip of Borneo is ours, Chen. Victory is!” Surya yelled triumphantly, fists clenched and up into the air. “No more will pirates hinder our commerce. Thanks to me, Chen! This means Admiralty!” The red, dying, fires of the wrecked ships and burnt ruins glowed on his eyes as he lustily stared back at the town.

As other people have said - that was really great!

OOC: Quality slip? That was excellent!

Thanks. Means a lot. :)

Oh, what's the story behind this'n?

Well, simply put, they're all French characters from an AC, Saviors 2. It was superhero AC, and generally considered one of the best ACs ever run. Also one of the few to ever finish. Guillaume (Often just called Will) was my character, and he was the Badass Normal superhero, and he was a pretty fast runner even there.

Charlotte was an important woman in Will's backstory, basically serving as the reason he became a hero in the first place. She was about to be raped, but Will fought him off. After that, he developed a huge crush on her and eventually they became a couple (And she didn't punch him. The original Charlotte wasn't a radical feminist :p) Then she was killed by a French special agent, who was actually not a crazed gunman, but intentionally shot her because he was trying to get at Will (He unknowingly stole enough blue radioactive rocks, also known as Unobtanium, that if he sold it all, he could had bought an entire city. Kids these days). This all happened before the game even started, so she wasn't in the game (Her body did appear, however, because the villains zombified it. Dicks).

Emily was Dem's character, and she was also at first a Badass Normal, until she developed psychic powers due to radiation. She would build the world's first AI (Who turned out to be very perverted) and a giant metal suit, but unlike Will she didn't want to be a hero and would constantly try to fight the call. Also Will ended up hating her for a while, before they ended up becoming a couple too (I wanted to throw a reference to the latter in the story, but I couldn't really find a place to do that).

I'm calling it now though, the government frames William for the shooting. Dirty French.

We'll see in Part 3 ;)

OOC: If Sìchuān were to claim Qīnghǎi as well as the adjacent province within Inner Mongolia, how many claims would that take up?

The Austrian government is interrogating the subject for any connections to terrorist groups at this time. Our sources indicate this may only be a local group, but if we are made aware of any actions against Emperor Laskaris, we will be sure to inform you immediately.

In the meantime, Archduchess Claudia gave a speech after the incident, assuring the public that she was safe and that the assailant was taken into custody. She urged the public not to blame the French for the assault, but there is still a bit of anger towards the matriarchal nation for their suspected role in the attacks. While their motivations are still unclear, the suspect has given evidence that she was also involved in the 2014 Schönbrunn Bombing, so there may very well be a terrorist cell active in Austria.

Gangnam Republic expansion. If the provinces are too big, prioritise by size: smallest first.

========
Gangnam Restoration Program (GRP) continues

The restoration of Seoul and the construction of the underground Geothermal plant continue well into the Autumn of 2105. The restoration of the infrastructure in mainland Korea sees progress: it's near finishng, 5 months earlier than expected. Researchers find new efficient ways of gathering and storing energy for later use.

The GRP plans to expand into the military field too. A subsection of the GRP, the Military Sector, ensures that soldiers are well-trained, well-fed, and well-equipped. With the current advancements in technology, scientist Jong Saewon thinks that soon his team will develop a military tank and a new type of rescue helicopter that work on solar/eolian energy, making them more efficient the more they stay in function. Of course, it's jsut in project phase, and the current priority of the GRP is the wellfare of the people.

Another subset of the GRP is the APO (Anti-Poverty Origanization) which ensures that all poor and homeless receive a job, pay less taxes depending on their salaries, and receive aid from the wealthier populace. As soon as these methods were applied, people reported possible corruption in the system, as people would want to keep their taxes low even after escape from poverty, but the leaders of the GRP took care of this already: the Corruption Grid was formed in the same time, doing irregular controls on all people, getting paid to notice corruption and eliminate it efficiently.

Yet another project started by the GRP is the VLAD-M06 . It;s main purpose is to turn the former city of Vladivostok into a wind-powered metropolis, with the highly-unpopulated areas to the west producing the needed energy. Wind energy is a viable source of pwoer in the area, and is relatively cheap to build and maintain.

The last, but not least important project of the Gangnam Restoration Program is the Blood Net. As creepy as it sounds, the Blood Net is a massive database containing info on all blood donated by Gangnam citizens, to use for medical purposes. Multiple blood banks are being opened throughout the Republic, allowing citizens to donate blood for the least fortunate, while the Blood Net immediately receives info on the donor so it can be used fast to save a life probably on the other end of the Republic.

For the last hour, the light blue sun had turned orange, then a deep red, almost crimson, then velvet purple and, before it turned totally black, the view from the court’s window was filled with the glow of the city lights at night. Inside, in spite of having air conditioning, it was as hot as outside. On a table sat three men in military uniform. Their insignia distinguished them as admirals. Before them was standing Captain Kaur. Then, the man sitting in the middle lifted his head from the papers he had been reading for most of the last hour and addressed the Captain himself:

“Captain Surya Adi Kaur, you must have set a record for orders exceeded. Your task was to capture the ships and seize the town. Instead, your task force sank the ships and levelled down the settlement. I am not sure we want to hear your excuses once again, but it is my duty to ask which were your reasons to do so, captain.”

Surya wasn’t impressed. It was the hundredth time he stood before one of these supervision committees. Sometimes righteously, sometimes just because of his reputation. Few times had feared reprisal at all, but this time he knew he was untouchable. Piracy had been a hindrance to the whole region and one of the main reasons behind the Federation’s existence.

“Sir, it was my duty to ensure the surrender of all criminal elements in the area, and so I did. The ships were a potential threat to the landings, and thus had to be destroyed.” Flawless exhibition, Surya. If they ever really wanted to do something about it, they can’t any more. I am their hero. With impeccable manners and a badly concealed expression of self-satisfaction on his face, Surya continued. “As to the fate of the town, it was convened that the shipyards could conceal heavy armament, and thus was destroyed. Unfortunately, it seems that the effect of the explosion was magnified, perhaps because of the actual presence of volatile weaponry but most likely because that of fuel tanks. In any case, it was an accident, and the operation was a sound success.” By the point he had finished, Surya had a wide smile on his face and slightly bowed forward, as a student who knows he’s given the correct answer to the teacher.

“Frankly, captain, it is known that your methods are unpopular within the admiralty. Your excuses are as unconvincing as always, but we have wasted too much time already. I may regret to say this, captain, but you are dismissed. Wait for us outside.” The man was aging, and visibly tired after the session. His colleagues helped him stand up from his chair as Surya left the room.

Poor old man. He knows he needs me. THEY know THEY need me, and I’m here to remind them. One day I may have to sit in that chair, goddammit. They got no one like me up there. I should be PART of the Admiralty altogether! Why wait?

His thoughts were interrupted when an ensign opened another door and motioned to let him go through it. What happens now? The ensign spoke.

“Please, captain, follow me.”

The next room was filled with rows of seats. In the first ones, he could see senior navy officers, fellow captains and promotion buddies, with journalists and photographers at the back of the room. By the time he stopped glaring at the blinding flashes, he noticed that the three admirals had entered the room from a door opposite the one he had come in through. This is it. It was so unexpected, he didn’t even listen to what was being said. He was in shock, paralysed in awe. He barely noticed how he was stripped of his insignia. At last. At long last. The moment has arrived. They put other insignia on his shoulders and then he automatically turned to face the cameras, with the most stupid smile a man could have ever worn. In the end he could hear a few words from the old admiral:

“Congratulations, Rear Admiral Kaur. You are expected in Vietnam for dinner tomorrow.”

The Platonic Republic are eager to use algae as a energy source along with Thorium; we hence ask Indonesia if they are interested in a special energy pact. We can share what we have development in Thorium with them in return. We also both hope to further develop hydrogen engines for the sake of transpiration.

OOC: I was setting a RP but I accidently lost it. :(

The man, Urquhart, stood up. He now ruled over New Rhodesia. He had to give the damn speech.
He stood on the balcony of the presidential palace, and waved at the gathered crowd.
Cheers. So far, so good.
"People of Salisbury! People of Rhodesia!"
Silence. Was that good? Was it bad?
"Today I announce to you a few changes to our nation. The old government resigned over several crises and now we have to clean up their mess.
"Mozambique and New Rhodesia shall enter into a supranational entity, the South African Federation, with New Rhodesia taking a leading diplomatic role in agreement with Mozambican leadership. Further Mozambique may drive its own foreign policies etc. Mozambique is not considered a puppet, rather a equal nation. Any foreign delegates may wish to readjust their biases as such.
"Further international cooperation shall continue as always."
And now the boring domestic issues.

What Urquhart never realized was that among the audience there was a specific man.
This man was named Itumeleng.
Itumeleng means joy.
He would bring joy to Rhodesia.
By Purgatory.
He took aim at Urquhart.
He wept for what he was going to do, but it was for Rhodesia. For Mozambique. For Earth.
He fired.
What followed was the most botched shot ever.
As the man standing next to Urquhart went down with a clean shot, blood gushing from his throat, the guards stationed around began searching for the assassin.
Itumeleng.
Itumeleng ran.
He ran as he heard the screams of the crowd, he ran as he fell to the ground, but he never stopped running.
---
Itumeleng wept. He wept as he stood facing the squad. 5 men, remorseless. facing him. They were going to shoot accurately, because he couldn't and oh Gods, Itumeleng regretted every decision he'd ever made. He was pretty sure he heard Men of Harlech somewhere. Dear gods the irony.
As the men aimed, he mumbled a few words.
Kayode.
Kayode. He brought joy.
They fired and he closed his eyes one last time.

Overall the military operation was classed as a resounding success however Thessaloniki remains now a ghost town, no one even remaining to tell the story.

the Roman Empire is horrified to learn that this has happened. we just killed 60% of the city right there. and they were just defending the city. the people's opinion of the Emperor has shifted negatively.

Unlike the platonic Republic, the Emperor simply told its citizens the truth. we erred. big time. and we must pay for that.

the Emperor has canceled all military cooperation with the Platonic Republic. they will receive no more Roman Support in liberating their territories. additionally, the Emperor condemned both the Platonic and Roman Armies for failing to do its job properly.

next time, the Emperor himself will take part in military operations.

Honour.

In the age of the Samurai, honour was the gravitational centre around which all of Japanese society orbited. From the loftiest noble to the humblest peasant, daily life was governed by the principle of accountability. It was a paradigm intended to uphold social and spiritual harmony, and in the centuries following the end of Sengoku it witnessed the flowering of Japanese arts and culture under an aegis of stable peace.

Today, any semblance of that order, that harmony, lies roundly shattered. The principle of honour, so perverted, so bastardized by the ultranationalists of the Twentieth Century, has now been utterly erased by the government sitting in Tokyo. Its campaigns of conquest in China and Vietnam have been marked from the start by an appalling disregard for civilian life both militarily and economically, its armies wantonly bombing and pillaging the countryside while its corporations extract local labour and resources to fuel home industry. Japanese contempt for international values of peace, co-operation and co-prosperity have reached their deplorable height in this unprovoked and barbaric attack against United Nations peacekeeping staff. Pursuing what it has repeatedly characterized as a vendetta against the United Arab Republic over our repeated challenges to its imperial agenda, Japan has enthusiastically and unapologetically committed an act of war against all participating states of the United Nations Vietnam Intervention Force by its invasion of Ho Chi Minh City. Indeed, so blind is its bloodlust that Japan has attacked the Indo-Persian Kingdom, a member of the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, and hence a statutory ally. A state that cannot distinguish between friend and foe cannot be trusted to uphold order, either at home or abroad.

Japan has proven itself wholly dishonourable, unreasonable, and untrustworthy in every matter except its willingness to pursue unilateral aggressive action. It has repeatedly defied United Nations authority and shows no inclination to co-operate through any other recourse than threat of force. Nevertheless, the United Arab Republic offers the Government of Japan one final opportunity to stave off international war and begin the slow and arduous process or restoring its international reputation by agreeing to the following provisions:
  1. The immediate end to offensive operations on all fronts;
  2. The withdrawal of combat personnel from Vietnam and and transfer of security responsibility for the Empire of Vietnam to UNVIFOR;
  3. An agreement to receive international inspection teams to investigate war crimes and human rights abuse in Vietnam and Japanese-occupied China;
  4. The payment of indemnities to sponsor states of UNVIFOR, exact numbers to be determined;
  5. The outlawing of territorial expansion beyond current borders;
  6. The resignation of current Japanese administration, prohibition from future political life, and election of a new government;
  7. The limitation of the Japanese military to 250 000 active personnel for the purpose of home defence.
If, however, Tokyo persists in a hostile foreign policy that continues to jeopardize international peace and stability, the United Arab Republic will take all necessary measures to neutralize Japanese capability to pursue illegal aggression against the international community. This continued and brazen contempt for human welfare and international law will not be tolerated, and the United Arab Republic pledges itself to the unconditional defence of these aforementioned global values for as long as the Japanese threat exists.

As the United Arab Republic is in a state of war, all commercial vessels travelling to or from Japan, Japanese-held territory, and/or the Empire of Vietnam are barred from accessing the Suez Canal. Exception is given to properly-inspected ships containing medical and humanitarian supplies.
