PROJECTED PLANS FOR TMSBR REACTORS, LHASA, CHENGDU

TMSBR test reactor results have proven successful. Construction on the two conceived TMSBR reactors and facilities in Lhasa and Chengdu will resume posthaste. Vague results published at the moment project energy production from both of these plants to provide approximately ~56% of Sìchuān’s energy needs. Time frame gives Chengdu approximately one and a half years, optimistically, to see the facilities reach maximum potential, though the first reactors and safety measures can be installed and brought to working order within a half year. As such, alongside the other mining ambitions, Tibetan Thorium facilities will be converted within the year to provide a steady source of fuel for our new reactors. Nuclear plants around the area will also be renovated to perhaps welcome new thorium plants if the need may come in the near future.

TIBETAN ECONOMIC ADVANCEMENTS

The new Autonomous Province of Tibet has a plethora of various minerals and resources yet untapped by former governments. Deposits of zinc, copper, lead, salt, soda, potash, and borax will all be exploited to their maximum potential, without scarring the beautiful Tibetan landscape using the most modern mining methods and equipment. Various mining operations across the Autonomous Province will provide a much-needed boon to the Sìchuānese economy, as well as provide greater economic stability and autonomy to Sìchuān.

"...and as the death toll of the Schönbrunn Bombing continues to climb, there is still no word on the condition of our esteemed Archduke. This is Frieda Scuhart, Channel 7."

"And we're clear," Engel announced, lowering the camera as the up-and-coming news reporter adjusted her dazzlingly blonde hair into a better position. "Great work as always, ma'am. I didn't even know we were allowed back here."

"You don't move ahead in this field by playing it safe. Now let's get out befo-"

Cat tires squealed. Frieda spun around in time to watch a black limo pull up to the back entrance. Her large blue eyes widened as men in black suits congregated around it.

"Engel, it's the Archduke's daughter! Turn that camera back on!"

A slight girl with pitch black hair got out of the limo flanked by the suits and bolted for the door. Even at this distance and the pace she was going, Frieda could tell she had been crying.

"Got it," Engel whispered. "Wonder what all the guards are for..."

"That girl is next in line for the throne, whoever set that bomb could be going for her next. Now get back to the press area and see who else comes in," Frieda ordered.

"What about you?"

"I'm going to get in and dig up some actual news."

Engel almost dropped the camera. "Are you out of your head? If you're caught in there..."

"Then you'll have to find someone less pretty to film," she said pompously. "In the meantime, let me do my job."

Frieda watched Engel run off, then sneaked over to the security door. It was left unlocked, no doubt by one of the bodyguards rushing to protect the daughter. She slipped inside, checking both ways in case anyone was watching.

The smell of disinfectant seemed especially palpable this evening. Spotting a laundry basked, Frieda stole a set of nurse scrubs and set off down the hallway. So many people were running around that no one bothered to check her for any identification. Why would they? She was just trespassing, and the staff had bigger fish to fry this evening. Figuring the archduke was in the intensive care unit, she took a left turn, only to run straight into another doctor.

"Watch where you're going!" she barked.

"Sorry, I...Frieda?"

Frieda swallowed. That head of brown hair looked horribly familiar. "Mark?"

Of all the people she could run into at a time like this, why did it have to be the boyfriend she dumped a month ago? Hopefully he was still as meek as she left him.

"You shouldn't be here. I'm getting the guards."

"Mark, wait!" Frieda said, grabbing his shoulder. "Uh, I was hoping I could talk to you about the Archduke. You know something about what's happening, right?"

"You can't be serious," he said bluntly. "You throw me out like a piece of trash and expect to get information from me that could cost me my job?"

Damn it, of all the times to grow a backbone...

"Mark, I only-" Frieda sputtered, but she was cut off when Mark took her arm with a surprisingly firm grip and began leading her through the hallway.

Frieda's mind worked furiously, but only gave her one option out. It wasn't going to be pretty, but she had to do it if she wanted to get out of here with anything resembling a newsworthy report. Reacting quickly as he turned the corner, she cut him off and slammed him into the wall. Before he could cry out, she leaned forward, wrapped her arms around him, and gave him the most passionate fake kiss she could muster. After a few seconds, she broke off and looked deep into Mark's shell-shocked eyes.

"You wouldn't turn me in, would you Markey?"

Frieda watched in masked triumph as his face turned bright red. One month to get that spine and he lost it in five seconds flat. No wonder she dumped him.

"Hey, why'd you stop? I was just getting into it!" came a wheezing voice from the open ward nearby. Swearing, Mark ran over and slammed the door shut. Frieda watched in amusement as he attempted to lean casually against the closed door.

"Fine, I won't get the guards. Wh-what do you want?"

"Oh, you know..." Frieda said, flashing a seductive smile. "Exclusives about your latest patient."

Mark glanced around the hallway for any onlookers. Besides the excitable patient in the next room, there wasn't another soul in the hall.

"Well he isn't mine per say, but he's going to be an ex-patient pretty soon."

Frieda crossed her arms behind her back to hide the recorder. "So he's going to make a full recovery?"

He shook his head. "I saw his X-rays. That bomb at Schönbrunn liquefied his insides. No doctor in the world can save him."

Frieda blinked. "Wait, you mean he's...?"

"Dying. I'd say he doesn't have much-"

There was a buzzing noise. Frieda reached for her cell phone before realizing it came from Mark's pager. He detached it from his belt and read, his face going from beet red to pale white.

"Damn..."

"What's wrong?" Frieda demanded.

"They've requested euthanasia for the patient. Like I was saying, he doesn't have much...hey, where are you going?!?"

Frieda jolted for the exit, not caring who or what she overturned in the process. Bursting from the security door, she sprinted to the press area where Engel was watching a fist fight between two tabloid reporters.

"Hey Frieda, I have money on the guy from the Daily-"

"Engel, shut up and get that camera on," she shouted, making sure her hair was in proper condition before the cameras rolled. "You need to make sure the studio is airing this. I've got quite a story to report..."

The Vietnam Question
King Olaf the Fair was notified this morning on the hot button issue of the situation of Vietnam. Given that Olaf has just opened up the kingdom of the world from months of Isolationism. King Olaf the Fair advised parliament that the kingdom should remain neutral on the issue until the Vietnam Crisis Committee has been formed and ironed out the situation before making a final call. "The Vietnam Question is a hot button issue that we feel we shouldn't jump in without knowing all the facts" Olaf the Fair stated inside the Kalmir Parlament.

Expedition to Iceland
King Olaf the Fair has made a royal decree to expand and develop the island of Iceland. He commissioned a team of geologists and engineers to set up a geothermal power research facility on the island. The knowledge gained from the operation would soon help develop utility-grade geothermal plans across Scandinavia.

Super Constellation Solar Experiment
Students, Professors, and Aviation enthusiasts have joined forces in Oslo University to retrofit a 1950s era propliner as an experiment to have it run on the power of the sun. The experiment came to fruition after news of peak oil happening around the world.

Eire and Kalmar signs non-aggression pact
In a first international activity, King Olaf the Fair agrees and signs a non-aggression pact with Erie. Taking notice of their expansion in the North Sea, King Olaf the Fair has stated that Kalmar's expansion in the Atlantic is limited to Iceland and has no plans to interfear with their zones of interest.

>putting a forward grip post on an assault rifle
>that barrel length

It's like you want the rest of the world to make fun of your armed forces

plus you aren't fitting 55 9mm into that type 27 without a super big magazine.

You should contact American Arms manufacturers for firearm design advice and production!

Precisely.

Though in my defense, I had no idea what I was doing.

On the other hand, some of this alternate energy stuff I am actually working on IRL, so I feed some completely unnecessary self-validation from that. XD

EDIT: Though if you would be kind enough to enlighten me, what are the drawbacks of those aforementioned aspects?

The foregrip on the Type 77 won't work for that barrel length; it's too long, and you're operators will be reaching too far forward. A bipod would be better for that length; foregrip would be superior for a much shorter barrel.

Your sniper rifle has the bipod too far back for stability while prone, which is what counts for long range shots (you aren't going to make long shots while crouched).

Type 27 is going to have a mag size ridiculously large for the actual size of the gun, making it cumbersome to reload and to actually use. 30 round mag best mag.

Type 43 is okay as far as bullpups go (I hate bullpups personally) but having mags back like that can sometimes make them hard to reload and stuff.

Eire thanks Kalmar for organizing Iceland, which has we believe had been a base for pirates on the North Atlantic.

Reconstruction of the Vietnamese State:

- Toyotawa Iwao, Emperor of Japan and Vietnam

The Empire of Vietnam, with the economic aid of Japan, has begun the reconstruction of the public facilities in Vietnam. Power and Water stations, schools and hospitals, as well as Government offices have begun to be reconstructed. Meanwhile, the Empire has been divided into Provinces and Municipalities for the better governance of Vietnam. Many Vietnamese intellectuals who had fled Vietnam, now return to help the Government reconstruct the nation.

Emperor Iwao has visited several of the newly reconstructed buildings and has met with the workers. Japanese companies also start to invest large amounts of money into the Vietnamese economy and sell machinery for the reconstruction of Vietnam.

The Japanese Air Force has begun "Operation Storm I" against the Vietnamese Warlords. The remaining territories under Warlord control are now being mercilessly bombarded and will continue to be bombarded for a whole month. The goal is to destroy all economic and military infrastructure, as well as all power, water and communication stations. Already, 40,000 tons of bombs have been dropped to the province, with the goal being the dropping of a total 110,000 tons of bombs by the end of the operation. The operation is expected to completely annihilate the resistance of the Warlords.

Economic Development in Japan:

xOdHwDx.jpg

The expansion of Japan and the utilization of the natural resources and the manpower of China and Vietnam have led to growth rates of the Japanese economy of 10%. This economic miracle is the result of huge economic investment to the liberated territories and the use of the huge manpower of China and Vietnam.

the Roman Empire condemns japan for failing to take the civilians into account. again. your not supposed to destroy EVERYTHING, just the military targets! now the UN has to clean up your mess...

Limit your targets to military bases, or tents, or whatever they have at this point, or the Roman Empire will end relations with Japan.

-2 claims due to UN commitments
Are you changing these after the fact, because when I tabled this stuff the stats said Nedim had a full four.

Please don't be a Tani. :please:

It was an error in the stats on my part. It should have been at 2 for the past two turns. I only noticed I hadn't changed it when you pointed that out. That's why two of his claims were missed last turn.

P.S.: Need input on status of Rhodesia et al.

The United States of America is announcing a status of full neutrality on all non-American affairs. The matters of other nations are not matters that concern us.

Arms shipments are open to states that are in conflict, so long as they transport them on their own vessels.

The Committee on the Vietnam Crisis
With word coming in about the Japanese's Operation Storm I. A select few parlamentary members that formed the Committee on the Vietnam Crisis began to unfold the crisis and delegate the situation. The head of the committee forwarded a letter to King Olaf the Fair about his concerns of the carpet bombing campaign Japan is conducting in Vietnam, specifically, the lack of concern towards UN personnel and civilians that are within Japan's bombsights. One committee member stated "40t of bombs one day, the next would be 200t. It seems to the Japanese that there is no kill like overkill. Even if it justifies killing or injuring civilians and UN personnel in the area".

The committee sent another leader to both King Olaf and Fleet Admiral Roggvar suggesting that there should be a placement of an order of a flotilla of destroyers and cargo vessels, lead by the cruiser Ironhand. Olaf the Fair has taken the suggestion into consideration and plans to await a couple of months till Iceland has been properly settled.

Would you prefer it if I ended the civil war or do you want to do it yourself?

Orders lock tomorrow evening

Thor I will get round to answering your questions sometime tomorrow.

Update on news in the Neo Inco-Peruvian Empire:

Word of the new groupings of tribes and towns spread quickly up and down the coasts of South America where ships still provided fast communication between regions. Times were good in NIPE. International trade was still lacking, but the newly established local trade routes were still driving the economy. People had not been very reliant on oil before the collapse because of the lack of technology, but researchers were assigned to look into new ways to provide energy for what they hoped would soon be a quickly modernizing economy. The government of NIPE is interested in looking for trades with nations who would be willing to help provide us with the technology and resources to catch up with the rest of the world.

In the summer of 2105, tribes from deep inland contacted the capital in Lima for the first time. Agreements were made and NIPE began to expand to the foot of the Andes Mountain Range. For the time being, NIPE is staying out of the numerous international disputes due to a lack of credibility on the world stage and the fact that NIPE is not yet officially a member of the UN. However, leaders are carefully observing how things unfold for the time when NIPE is ready to become a player on the world stage. (OOC: Read that: I’m still following the thread, but none of it affects my little corner of the world, so I’m not commenting much)
