The unfortunate naming of Prussia-PolandChile confused our delegation, and by the time the vote was cast, it seems our diplomats had some strange idea that Poland was in Eastern Europe. When finally they realized their mistake it was too late.

Central Government unveils 2044 Union Budget

Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Ajeet Darzi released the proposed budget for next year which has already drawn heated discussions in Parliament and the media networks. The Bad News is that Income, Corporate taxes and Customs fees are being raised across the board except for China, Australia, Angola and Egypt which have signed trade treaties with India. Other taxes and non-taxes are also being raised. The Good News is that spending on critical sections of the economy and the country such as Health Care, Transportation, Education is being increased along with foreign commitments such as the United Nations and International Monetary Fund.

A Better, Greener India?
While the opposition has criticised the tax increases many have praised the spending on internal improvements, especially transportation, health care and education. The Central Government has called for the banning of internal combustion automobiles and lorries in major cities to reduce pollution and congestion and the imposition of congestion charges based on time of day and traffic. The Railroads will be upgrades with talks of possible new maglev routes between major cities.

Domestically produced electric vehicles will replace government vehicles within a five year period and discounts for purchases of electric scooters and tuk-tuks by enacted in all states and cities. Health spending for respiratory diseases is expected to decline due to a reduction in pollution according the the Ministry of Human Development.

Education for all
Combined Health Clinics and Schools will be opened in many districts which will allow parents to bring children for health screenings and allow adults to learn more about health care. Despite the economic growth many children and adults only receive one healthy meal per day served by local schools/clinics. Digitization and centralization of health and education records remain a priority.

Approval of the Budget is expected later this week.

As of this posting, under 20 hours remain before polls close for the Security Council election. Civ'ed, Omega124, Ailedhoo, KaiserElectric, Tolni, Golgol395, Terran Empress, Bair_the_Normal, and JamesCaesar have neither voted nor stated intention not to vote, and are at risk of incurring Shame Points.

Seon's vote may be voided if he does not clarify his posts.

tl;dr: Get your votes in. Don't be that guy.

Poland takes offence at these elections because we are not even considered as an option, while our two competitors are totally ridiculous. One is in North America, and the other has even less recorded history than us. Poland was founded by Tadeusz Kosciuszko in 1795 after his uprising provoked by the Second Partition failed. Poland is a bastion of democracy and has the most funded space program in the world, but almost no one takes it seriously.
