Important Ruling

A warning to all non-MIAers: Do not use this against them, this was not their intention and should not be treated any different.

You have full access to our threads. So we want the same disclaimer underlining our non intention and non guilt as Team MIA received. We all know there was no intention or violation of the law. Please use the exact same phrasing, otherwise I am afraid we have been bereft for diplomacy options in this highly speculative attempt on political assassination from Team KISS.

It will be there in the verdict, do not worry.

Well, they are not mislead at all. However, we will not change our city names again.
Tell them we are innocent per the present rules, and that we support a rule change for future reference. No harm was done to the other teams.

Ginger Ale, I have two questions. What exactly did you tell the other teams about us.
Number two, which team did not suspect the palace jump?

Second question: I cannot answer this because of the first. You ask me to not give any Team TNT info away, yet you want me to give away other teams' info. No, sorry.

First question: I have given no info away that teams don't know. Teams are free to spread info (as long as it is legally obtained info, in this case it was: from the F# screens) (ie; trading communication info before Printing Press is NOT OK).

For example, the F8 information is only available to met Civs. And in the spirit of the game, the other continent should not be able to educate our continent on their analysis, which is in fact diplomacy conducted in the guise of legal mudslinging.

We still want to know which team did not suspect/know this, as it is critical to the interpretation on this from our side. I see a campaign, mainly driven by Team KISS, to get intelligence and diplomacy advantages through false accusation, a pure Kenneth Starr strategy. By the way, Team MIA and Team Doughnut handled this professionally, and we will not let us strongarm by Team KISS.

Well then ok. Then they know it. But bringing this to a public thread provides intelligence support diplomacy to another team they did not meet. Ginger Ale said two civs suspected the palace jump, where the capital name was merely based on our team culture city naming poll. I did not even try to fine tune population changes before we jumped, so we played it based on pure intent and from a clean conscience.

What is key here, is that the third team did not think in these patterns, and if it is the case that Team Doughnut is the one educated from this, we can safely say that MIA and KISS used this trial to alter Team Doughnuts dealings with us.

I am very interested in knowing which of the three teams was the third team. From the threads I can see that it was probably MIA and KISS, which proves my point.

Ginger Ale, we want the same clean reputation statement you made in ruling 1 for Team MIA. So please review your ruling 2, and give us the same innocent privileges for future diplomacy, and particularly point this out to Team KISS.
Verdict: The challenge of this ruling is to see whether Team TNT intentionally tried to mislead opponents by changing, or switching, the names of some of their cities, and whether they broke the "spirit of the game" and fairness pledge by doing so.

After a review of the evidence, RegentMan and myself have concluded the following:

Team TNT did not rename their cities in order to cause confusion or to mislead their opponents. In hindsight, we can now see what has happened, but at the time of the decision, this was not apparent. It was not their intention to cause all this; they wanted to switch city names around. This was a legal action they took, as rule 2.4 pertains to diplomacy (it is unclear). As such, the following is the 'verdict' and result of this investigation:

-Team TNT suffers no in or out of game punishment or warning for their actions.
-A new discussion about the 'spirit of the game' and rule 2.4 will be started with the purpose of preventing this from happening again. One aim of it will be to decide if cities' name changes will be documented or not.
-A formal notice to clear this all up: Team TNT's cities' names have been switched around.

End of thread. If you have an appeal to this rule, please PM RegentMan and myself. The aim of this is to please everyone while being fair and rule-abiding.

The special treatment bestowed Team MIA, we also want.

The team involved in this was Team MIA.
A warning to all non-MIAers: Do not use this against them, this was not their intention and should not be treated any different.

Good Ginger Ale, all fair :) But please the "Clean TNT clasue" you gave MIA :)

Otherwise, thanks for a sound judgement and fair handling of this trial. I am sorry we had to be so tightlipped on information, but the other continent tried to provoke pumping intel out of this, so we had to run a PsyOps operation to cloud what happened.

ok Good, ginger Ale, we are now happy, as equal treatment was given. All commendations on a fair handling by Ginger, Regentman and RikMeleet.
