In-game time of day synchronization with real clock

I really miss the option to control in-game time of day animation speed. What we have now is a bit too fast for me, I want some realism. Is it possible to make mod that will synchronize real clock with time of day in our game? It's so cool to watch how sun slowly goes down and enviroment becomes darker and darker...
