To France, England, and Ireland
From New England:

Considering we are the only 4 liberal democracies in the world, we would like to purpose that our nations join together in an Accord des Démocraties Libérales or an Agreement of the Liberal Democracies. It would be a pact of mutual defense as well as an agreement to encourage liberal democracy at home and abroad through peaceful means.

---------------------------
OOC: what do you mean by each ideology EQ? I'm confused on several levels.

Does conservative mean the social sense or economic sense? Does it mean free-market, low taxes, closed borders, etc?

Does liberalism mean in the social or economic sense? free-speech, welfare, open markets, etc?

Does socialism just mean state run economy, because there can be socially liberal or conservative socialist states.

Or does communism just means a socially conservative socialist state while the 'normal' socialist you have down ismore liberal?

Is imperialist liberal or conservative in nature as all it really means is the nations attitude towards other nations and not its own people.

Maybe more solid defnitions or even spliting it into 3 sections each with a score of 1 to 5.
Domestic: 1 is very closed society(hitler/stalin) 5 is very open(modern democracies)
Foreign: 1 is very isolationist(Tokugawa Japan) 5 is very imperialist(european powers during the scrammble for africa)
Economic: 1 is very state controlled(Stalin/Mao) 5 is very open markets(pre-trust busting, anti-union USA)

That way you could even have a fixed set for changing 1 of the numbers, like say changing by 1 number on any of the 3 areas will bring say 5% dissent. But it would depend on the context(an isolationist america suddenly attacked and changing their foreign from 1 to 4 in order to deal with the war wont have much dissent for example).

Also this way you could even like say your nation has a 3 domestic. You could have next to it (10% believe should be higher, 5% believe should be lower) to show how much support there is to your ruling.

Just thoughts, and i completly hijacked my diplo post which might go unnoticed by this ooc.

OOC: And no one shall ever know :p

The USA's threats on the signing of an act of friendship and mutual defense with foreign nations would be a threat against the sovreignty of the Republic of New England and our rights as a nation to sign such treaties. New England has no view to act hostile agaisnt the US and the US's response to this treaty only furthers our resolve to gain mutual defense with allies in order to protect our sovreignty from nations such as yours.

TO: USA
FROM: Ireland

In the interests of peace, the Republic of Ireland will withdraw from this treaty on the condition that the USA pledges to guarantee the sovereignty of the independant nation of New England. Let us have peace in our time.

Mexico for me, conoceis nada

@ironman, your way of insulting the democratic nations should not be by calling them democratic :p Try...capitalist pigdogs!

@eq, is my leader a prime minister? A Tsar? How long has the constitutional monarchy been around and how similar is to the USA...or is it more totalitarian in nature? I need to know so I can plan my style and stories ;)

@warman, you make some interesting points, imperialist is a bit broad, but mostly i used the terminology from Victoria to set up the stats. I shall look into switching things up a little. Imperialist is what i used to replace the Reactionary ideology from victoria.

@Azale: the Czar is the formal head of Russia, though a Prime Minister is the elected head of government. Consider it something like the British Empire without a House of Commons.
