In the Shadow of Rome

(back in IC now) To all of those involved in the war occuring in the Americas we plead you to end the war which 319,560 brave soldiers have given thier lives for, not because they hated thier enemies or wanted to take them over, but because they loved thier country and were good soldiers who listened to thier commanders.

From, The Nation of Australia
============================================================================
Regarding the development in France: A nations people have an unalienable right (something i'm sure all you Americans have delt with) to make their goverment as they see fit a fascist, republic, or communist one, that said Australia supports the goverment the most French people support, if groupings of belivers of a certain goverment are divded geographically then maybe more than 1 France is the logical option.

To Nationalist France, Republican France, Communist France
From Austria-Hungary-Yugoslavia

We are prepared to recognize you all as independant nations so long as you do not punish people for beliefs, only actions.

To Madagascar
From Austria-Hungary-Yugoslavia

We fully support your independance. We hope that your independance can show other colonies they need not remain so, but if they are being oppressed, rule themselves. We wish to open trade with you.

From The Netherlands
You declared you were neutral in the caribean war. So you have changed your stance once again, just like the EASR. We hereby close all diplomatic ties with you as your foreign politics are too unreliable to bother with.

I think I might wanna change to England, just to get this nes rolling again, what do you say eq?

Pierre Dutroud strode into the anteroom of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution Benito Mussolini. Inside not even 5 metres from him was the leader himself and the man who was first to recognise the egalitatrian communist revolution in France as the true government.

'The Supreme Leader is just finishing with the Soviet Foreign Commissar, Envoy he shall only be a few moments' The secretary spoke to Dotroud anticipating the Frenchman's question.
'I shall wait for the privlege' the communist ambassador replied taking his leave and sitting down on a classical divian that sat in the room for visiting dignataries and officals to wait upon for consultation with the Chairman of the Soviet Communist Party. He glanced over to the stack of Roman newspapers, all printed through the Ministry of Communications and authorised by the Director of Communications before being published. The headlines shouted for greater efforts to defeat the capitalist scum, as well as applauding the revolution in Dortoud's homeland. The time past quickly as the envoy read.

'You may go in now' the secretary announced, after the Foreign Commissar has stalked past with a slight grin on his face.

Pierre Dortroud stood and gave his thanks to the comrade in the revolutionary struggle and entred the office of argurably the most powerful man in the world. The design was completly socialist in its approach and behind the Great Leader who was standing to greet his newest ambassador, was affixed a gilded hammer and sickle the symbol of the proletariat of enourmouse propotions.

'Greetings Comrade Ambassador, welcome to Rome, may I start by offering my congratulations at the begining of the revolution in France and my deepest wish of solidarity between the People's Republic of France and the Euro-African Socialist Republics' Mussolini stated
'I offer my humble thanks Comrade Chairman and I too hold the wish for complete and utter co-operation between our two liberated peoples!' the ambassador replied, as he sat down ready to begin to work out such an agreement. Indeed the future was bright for the People's Republic of France.

ooc: I am using Benito Mussolini as he started his political career as a socialist and thus it is entirely plausible that he would continue to be one in this history.

From Greece
To International Community

We will recognize the independence of Madagasscar but we refuse to recognize the government of the nation. It is not a government set up by the people but a part of the French military who went rogue and set up a kingdom.

@IcEye, luckymoose gets England, thanks for the thought though.

@das, I really need you to officially pick a side.

@everyone, update would be best set for Wed.

To: the World
From: Madagascar

We thank all who support our new independence and hope that the world will demonstrate neutrality in the raging war in France.

To: England
From: Belguim

We are withdrawing our forces from the Central American front to prevent any French refugees from overwhelming our border.

From: Brazillian Empire
To: Atlantic Alliance

Due to the instability of this alliance we have decided that it is in the interest of our nation to withdraw from the Atlantic Alliance and proceed on our own way.

To: USCA

As most of my ex-allies have already withdrawn, we will withdraw, too. We have achieved what had to be achieved and we are now willing to and all hostilities.

To: All
From: USCA

Since all are at peace with the USCA, shall we all agree to Status Quo Ante Bellum, the lifting of all blockades, and helping to rebuild the USCA economy?

Treaty of Vienna

And so it has come to be that one of the most bloody pages in history is closed. From a war of imperialism, 789,360 Men, Women and Children dead. The horrors of Gas Warfare first realized, and the blood of the innocent most spilled. A war of governments were the people were killed. But this time is past, for the forces of good have prevailed

1: The borders of all the nations involved shall be reset to as before, thusly with the islands awarded to USCA by the Treaty of Havana shall be re-ceded to the USCA

2: The lifting of all blockades in the region where this war happened

3: The help of the stronger nations in the rebuilding of the economy of those INVOLVED in the war who'se economy took a hit.

4: A 2 year NAP to be signed by all involved in the matter

5: All the nations involved may collect the bodies of their lost and bring them home for a proper burial, and in the French case, the families may choose which country they want the body in.

6: All War-Crimes are pardoned

7: Reperations shall be discussed individually

From King Charles of the Triple Monarchy of Austria-Hungary-Yugoslavia
To all nation involved in the war.

We fully support all points except point 6. We do not believe that war crimes should ever be pardoned. However, in the name of peace we believe that dealing with war crimes should happen after the peace treaty has been signed by all nations.

To: USCA and other nations
From: Mexico

Despite our non participation in this war, our economy was hurt, we demand some reperation of some type to restore our economy. You cannot say we were not involved for the fact that our merchants and trade was harmed during this war due to the blockade executed by the Atlantic Alliance.

To: Mexico
From: Juan Antonio, El Presidente of USCA

You shall receive NOTHING for you contributed NOTHING. When the going got tough, you got going. You were content to let us be destroyed and you watched as HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of your brethern got slaughtered. You only showed support when we turned the tide of the imperialists, because you were positioning yourself to jump on the bandwagon of whomever became victorious. It is the valiant Haitians and the victorious Americano's that deserve help, not the cowardly Mexicans.

Good Day, and may God find it in his heart to bless your next leader with a spine

It is the opinion of my diplomats, my generals and above all, my people, that since in this war the horrors of gas warfare, Civilian Massacres, and political assassination were all seen by both side of thise conflict, that these crimes should for now be pardoned, but in the future there should be some sort of Convention setting up rules for the usage, and some sort of court for the trials of these criminals. But all involved were simply doing what was best for their countries, and we should penalize the nation, not the people.

Don't be so spiteful, as you have not changed in any way, I was outraged because my economy was harmed. I look out for the best for my people. May God have mercy on your soul.
