In the Shadow of Rome

EQ, i have a question. In the description/summary in the frontpage it said that Russia owned Japan in all 3 wars, yet in the history thread:

One more war would be fought against the Japanese in 1922 to help unite the people of Russia after the divisions caused by the Red Uprising in 1919. This war was a clear Japanese victory, after the Japanese seized the city of Vladiostock in their 1924 campaign in east Russia. Several more islands exchanged hands, this time in the Japanese’s favor.

If this were the case then shouldn't my navy be stronger than theirs? And why would their interest be turned to the east after a devastating war on their part..?

Until such time as you relinquish all that you've illegally taken from the nations of Asia, you are in no position to comment on other's so called "aggression".

From: Republic of Russia
To: Japan

So...we illegally take some land from a nation in Asia, while you illegally take the ENTIRE nation. We see how the Japanese operate now, thank you. Even by your own standards you still are the aggressor. This pointless talk is getting us nowhere, this will be the last message from us until we have something to actually discuss.

Global Commitern isn't listed in alliances.

No. The Canal must be turned over to us immediatly- the act of seizure by your forces insitutes a declaration of war. How would you feel if someone was to trespass upon your land and take what is not theirs? This is what shall happen- you will vacate the canal immediatly. You will pay 1 ic for reperation for loss trade due to your seizure. You will also pay 2 ics in return for seizure- for a total of 3 ics by the end of this month. Fail to do so and we will do our best to make life hell for you.

To All Parties involved in the Caribbean crisis.
From Columbia

We have expressed our outrage at the sancity of our independence being violated. We have offer the English a way to aviod war, but shall they refuse there will be conquenses. We will not wait for this pointless war to be over to have our land returned. If England accepts our offer, we will not get invoved. All parties may continue to use the canal as they see fit, but no fighting must take place within Columbian waters. Unfortuantly, if she refuses we will do what is in our best interests and the results will not be pretty.

We do not care about English or any other european nation's concerns- they are not ours. We are neither allied with your alliance nor do we wish to. We are our own people, not dependent on massess to keep us secure. We shall consider that if England refuses to pull out immediatly that we are, unfortuantly, in a state of war.

To Brazil
From Columbia

Apologies are extended as the way your message was worded caused us to believe that you were offering. But as this "anti-Brazilian" alliances, do explain- what alliance are we in? While we appreciate the support from the EASR, we are not in an alliance with them. The MPP we offered Venezuala was defensive, not offensive. So please, do explain.

Ally with us instead, you will see we can be a much more reliable partner than the Japanese. Not to mention we already have a base of operations in the America's already. The Japanese can not be trusted.

We are glad to see your hands open to us, we hereby pull our offer to Japan and would like an defensive pact with russia

It has come to our attention (re: update) that the people of Phillipines are seeking independence from you. This has put a possible wedge into the relations between our 2 nations. We are curious as to how you will treat this situation before commiting ourselves to any diplomatic agreements with you.

@Wubba: I take it that you didn't read how Russia's @$$ got whooped by Japan a little over a decade ago? ;)

Do you jest? Surely you would know that we would never join an european alliance. We are neutral at heart and desire to remain such.

so...are you jealous that i'm his friend and not yours, i mean, i just want friends, i mean if you want to get together just give mexico a call.

To: Columbia

Mexico is a member and we want it primarily to become a americas alliance and pretty much all former colonies of spain and portugal keep independence and unite to meet new enemies.

Well it looks like i'll have to pan for the gold of diplomacy in the 2 pages of posts that have materialized since i went to work today. i'm not quite sure who is allied with who. I would like to know if anyone besides Sheep is in the commitern as i am remotely confused on that point.

I attempted to join (its what the RNG said I should do as I am centrist)

Can you change my government/ideology? It is blocking entry into things... like commintern

Very well, at the conclusion of the war the islands will be returned to you.

To: Colombia
From: Venezuela

We will agree to a mutual protection pact.

To: Netherlands, USCA, and France
From: England

our terms for peace would read like this:

1. end of the Antonio doctrine
2. return of Puerto Rico and Galapagos to Spain

To: Colombia
From: England

We will withdraw troops from Panama, but due to the insults you have afforded us in your diplomacy we will NOT pay compensation. We have not hindered merchant vessels, so no damage has been done to trade. You have insulted our ambassador by your demands, so you will receive nothing.

OOC: EQ, the issue was not about the rapid assualt, it was how in under 29 days he managed to mobilize troops, sail them around South America, and THEN rapid assault and take the capital. That doesn't make any sense. The updates are in months...not years. Das, you can't possibly be that stupid as to not see that.

And my government was legitamently elected and recognized. It formed a coalition of parties to control parliment. Its neither Fascist nor illegitament, nor a dictatorship. I have no idea where you are getting this from, because its so obviously not true.

And seriously, an attack because of an OOC comment:dubious:

IC:

To: France, England, and The Netherlands
From: The USCA

Why would we withdraw the Antonio Doctrine if you have just proved it is nessacery. Your unprovoked attack illustrated the need for it. The only peace will be evacuation from all Western Hemisphere colonies by the 3 empires involved in this Imperialist War.

To the USCA
From the EASR

We recommend you remove the Antonio Doctrine. It is an easy peace.

To England
From the EASR

We will back Colombian demands for compensation for your illegal and immoral occupation of Panama. You have insulted Colombia far more than mere words could ever do.

ooc: EQ If I defeated the English and everyone else why is my navy so crappy? Oh and the other members of the COmmittern so far are Australia and Ireland with more considering it and others invited.

The "Lower Caribbean Defense Pact" for example, or in general: the entire "Trade Union" are organizations, which main purpose is to threaten Brazil. Behind these fancy names stand a buch of warmongers, who are desperatly waiting for a time when we are temporally weak.

We propose the formation of a trans-pacific trade and cooperation pact amongst us free (OOC: from the yoke of europe :p ) nations of the Pacific.

From: Brazil
To: Japam

We happily agree to a trans-pac trade pact. However, we would like to know more about the cooperation pact. Sorry about our nitpicking, but we don't want to be drawn in something, that we don't want. Especilly considering that nations with whom we don't realy have had any contact are invited, too.

To: All nations on the American continent
From: The Netherlands
The USCA does not want peace. Therefore it is imperative that we know the status of all nations on the American continent for the continueation of this war. Will all stay neutral?

@Swissempire: If it bugs you that much then assume that they started mobilizing in January. and your nation ideology has been updated.

To Brazil
From Columbia

The Lower Caribbean Defensive pact is just that- a defensive alliance. It holds no threat against you unless you plan on making war on one of our nations. We have no affiliation with this "Trade Union"- the only reason we have spoken words of war is because of unjust and illegal actions performed by England.
