Inconsistent deer bonus?

So I was having a look at deer and I can't seem to see a clear bonus for what they're supposed to provide.
Over at wikia, it suggests +1 food, and +1 more with the camp

However on my current map I'm observing the following as I mouse around (other civs)
All unimproved
Deer on tundra, river - 2:c5food:, 2:c5gold:
Tundra, river - 1:c5food:, 2:c5gold: (+ 1 :c5food:)

Deer on forest, plains - 3:c5food:, 2:c5production:
Deer on forest, plains - 3:c5food:, 1:c5production: (different area)
forest, plains - 1:c5food:, 1:c5production: (+2:c5food:, +1/+2:c5production:)

Deer on Grassland forest - 3:c5food:, 2:c5production:
grassland, forest - 1:c5food:, 2:c5production: (+2:c5food:)

So what is the bonus supposed to be for deer? These are all over the place, they're all unimproved and all within the same foreign civ.

You made a distinction between forest on grassland and forest on plains... There is none. Same with hills.

Forest gives a base 1:c5food: and 1:c5production: (both on plains, grassland and hills)
Hills give a base 2:c5production: (whether it is plains, desert, tundra or grassland doesn't matter)
Plains give a base 1:c5food: and 1:c5production:
Grassland gives a base 2:c5food:
Tundra gives a base 1:c5food:

All tiles next to a river get +1:c5gold:
Deer gives +1:c5food:

Hope this clarifies it for you.

Perhaps this civ was in a golden age? (+1:c5gold: on all tiles that have at least 1:c5gold:)? I can't explain the +1:c5production: you seem to see on forests unless your game is with an older patch... A golden age used to be also +1:c5production: on all tiles with at least 1:c5production:, but now it is a production bonus in all cities.

I know there isn't, that was kind of my point. I'm seeing inconsistent results for various tiles in the same empire. On the tundra it was right, but on the plains its giving bonus hammers, and on the grassland bonus food

I'm playing with the latest patch on steam

As was stated, deer are +1 food, +1 production with camp, Grainary in city gives +1 food, Economics gives +1 gold to camp. So...

However on my current map I'm observing the following as I mouse around (other civs)
All unimproved
Deer on tundra, river - 2:c5food:, 2:c5gold:
Tundra + River + Deer + Golden Age or Economics
Tundra, river - 1:c5food:, 2:c5gold: (+ 1 :c5food:) I'm assuming you are saying base terrain plus the modifier on the terrain so this would be wrong. Tundra, river is 1:c5food:, 1:c5gold:. If you are seeing 2:c5gold: on base tundra in the same area as the deer, then that civ is in a golden age.

Deer on forest, plains - 3:c5food:, 2:c5production: Forest + Deer + Camp + Grainary (You just can't see the camp because they built it since the last time you were in the area)
Deer on forest, plains - 3:c5food:, 1:c5production: (different area) Forest + Deer + Grainary, no camp
forest, plains - 1:c5food:, 1:c5production: (+2:c5food:, +1/+2:c5production:) Again, I'm assuming you are saying base terrain plus the modifier on the terrain so this would be correct.

Deer on Grassland forest - 3:c5food:, 2:c5production: Forest + Deer + Camp + Grainary (You just can't see the camp because they built it since the last time you were in the area. No difference from Plains Forest)
grassland, forest - 1:c5food:, 2:c5production: (+2:c5food:) Again assuming you are saying base terrain plus the modifier on the terrain but this is wrong. Forest is forest no matter the terrain: always 1:c5food:, 1:c5production:. If you are seeing 2:c5production: in the same area as the deer then they have a lumbermill on the forest that was built since the last time you were there.

I hope that clears everything up.

I'm assuming you are saying base terrain plus the modifier on the terrain so this would be wrong. Tundra, river is 1, 1. If you are seeing 2 on base tundra in the same area as the deer, then that civ is in a golden age.
Actually this particular set of squares was outside any civ, should have been raw.

I saw some camps. so I thought there might not actually be camps anymore. Satellite should keep you updated or update you every few turns.
didn't it used to do that?

Then were you in a golden age at the time you looked at the terrain? Terrain that is outside of any borders will show the yields you would get.

AFAIK the sattelite tech only reveals the terrain on a map, not the actual improvements on the terrain.

Could be a bug as well. Sometimes tile yields are displayed incorrectly. For example I sometimes have desert tiles with (for example) 4 food but I can't work them.

When I move my mouse cursor over the tile I always get the correct info though (above the minimap).
