Blessed be the Tribunal and Great House Indoril! Down with Outlander oppressors!

Damn, took me ages to realize what you're even talking about :ack:

In any case, as I don't play the game, I voted for Stormcloak, merely for having the cooler name :p

The Thalmors have broken Ulfric before and he is an asset for the Aldmeri Dominion. He is a liability if he becomes king of skyrim and may co-operate with the thalmor compromising Skyrim. Also skyrim is easier to defend as part of the empire from the thalmor.

The Empire would be better for the long term stability of skyrim. Stormcloaks are racist scum and would have removed the other races from skyrim . Only draw back in empire would be the no Talos worship which was not actually the empire's fault . It lost to the Aldmeri Dominion and was forced to sign that agreement for skyrim .

I ask my fellow skyrim citizens to support the empire and strenthen it. When we are strong enough we would war with the Alderi Dominion and break the stupid White-Gold Concordat.

Not to mention that Heimskr babbling about talos at the whiterun marketplace makes me want to kill him and his fellows , so I can sell my loot in peace. :mwaha:

What about blades vs Paarthurnax?

I personally don't like killing the wise dragon. His quote "What is better - to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?" just makes me unable to feel like harming him.

Did the quiz, came out Imperial.

Yeah, no doubt. Stuff the blades on that count. I mean, you're the dragonborn, so do the blades kneel before you or not? I decided once to just off Daphne and Esbern instead. Turns out they're essential even after they are not needed for quests anymore, so that wasn't possible, but I had the satisfaction of successfully FUS RO DAHing them off the mountain. Course, then I couldn't fast travel away because enemies nearby, so I had to hoof it for awhile with them in pursuit, but I eventually got away.

The Stormcloaks might be rasists, but at least they didn't sentence me to death because reasons.

Right, extrajudicial killings just aren't Ulfric's cup of tea. Except for that minor business of the Karthwasten massacre but, really, who is to judge?

Given what the Dragonborn gets up to after being informed of his/her status, I'd also say the Imperials were probably justified. Dragonborn probably deserved it.

I think console commands would work to remove/give essential status for various NPC's . I remember planning to train at Hamal for enchanting up till 90 , then off her and get the money back. Turns out she is essential .My 40k..septims [pissed]

Ps : Are you guys using the unofficial skyrim, dawnguard, heathfire, dragonborn patches/mod?. Fixes lots(and I mean a lot) of bugs which bethesda left in the game.Totally different experience playing with this.

I always end up with the Imperials in Skyrim, while I go with the NCR in New Vegas (Both have factions with Roman themes).

Down with the NCR ! , viva independent New Vegas ! (because independent aka. "Yes man" route has the coolest ending video of all ;) .... but when it comes to Elder Scrolls I'd pick Imperials because they are simply more civilized than Nords - I didn't played Skyrim yet but I'd rather stand by the side of an already established and well organized Empire than a rag-tag band of marauding barbarians by the sound of it. ;)

The quiz made me come up Imperial, but I would never go with the Stormcloaks anyway. (Even my most anti-Imperial character, a Bosmer vampire assassin, didn't fight for the Stormcloaks. He simply ignored the civil war plot altogether.)

Ulfric's a politician, using the chaos to start a revolt and claim the throne for himself (at best), whilst the Legion are merely incompetent and overstretched at worst. Unless you play a Man, fighting for the Stormcloaks is against your self-interest, and even then it's dubious whether or not Ulfric would exile all non-Nords after he wins.

Still, religious freedom is sorta compelling. Being able to be dragged away, tortured, murdered, etc by the Thalmor because the Empire wussed out is a pretty compelling recruitment angle.

And that's all it is - a recruitment angle. If Skyrim secedes from the Empire, neither realm would be able to resist a renewed Thalmor offensive and then Ulfric's grand plans are consigned to ruins. Ulfric is a short-sighted optimist at best and much worse if not. Despite the Empire’s failures with the Thalmor, short of divine intervention or Thalmor collapse, it is in Skyrim’s best interest to support the Empire, no matter who you are.

I wish they gave us a chance of a battle with the Aldmeri Dominion Empire . Like the civil war you have hundreds of Thalmor coming from one corner of the map and the dragonborn fights them solo. An illusion mage with all the perks should have no difficulty. Cast Mayhem master spell, and let all the thalmor fight each other. Even if a very few high level thalmor don't get affected the grunts should get affected and will attack then. Then summon a dragon into midst , summon 2 draeda lords and dual cast aoe fire spells. 1 man annihilation squad.

Only missions where we could destroy substantial amount of thalmor are the diplomatic immunity and rescue the kid from thalmor jail .

Yeah, but the story isn't really about the Aldmeri Dominion. They're a forsaken people who just don't know it yet. It's about the ascension of the Dragonborn into godhood - a complete subversion of The Eight Orthodoxy that the Thalmor cherish so!
