Icy winds over the past week had swept over the city of Vladivostok for most of the winter. The sun broke out through the cold and cast a glitter over Revolutionary Square. The roads around it were closed of to the public. Schoolchildren packed ten deep, lined the pavements each holding the national flag and raising it high above their heads.
Loudspeakers broadcasted the national anthem and songs of revolution from it’s past. Communist Party officials had been summoned to Vladivostok from every province. They watched events from the steps of the Great Hall of the People to the west and outside the Museum of Revolution and History to the east. Camera crews from Communist Central Television roamed freely around the square. Throughout the morning tv networks had showed films of of the Russian Revolution, the Paris Commune, and various uprisings that had occurred worldwide. The British were criticized for their history of brutal imperialism that had enslaved a fourth of the world. The Americans were condemned for their support of capitalism and their rampant imperialism.
Military vehicles rolled slowly down the streets. Ahead of the marched soldiers in the green uniform of the Red Guards Regiment also known as the legendary unit of the Third Shock Army which had preserved Communism in the East. Behind them rolled T-80 tanks, towed artillery, self-propelled guns, mortars, and anti-aircraft guns. On giant screens mounted all over the square pictures of FEAR battleships and cruisers were shown along with fighters and bombers who had valiantly fought in the most recent Chinese War.
It was after this First Citizen Putin chose to make his address. Flanked by generals he climbed to the podium to address the people who had gathered here to hear him speak. Putin had chosen this place for a reason. This was the site of where the fortress that had preceded the city had once stood, it was a mere fort and fishing post at the time. But it had been named Vladivostok which meant Rule the East. And that is what he intended to do.
The view over the exhibits of FEAR military power were richly symbolic, the architecture of Communism, the Great Hall of the People, the Monuments to the People’s Heroes.
Putin spoke “Our work will go down in the history of mankind demonstrating that our people, comprising one quarter of humanity, have now stood up. We have always been a great, courageous, and industrious nation. But then the Soviet Union fell and we began to fall behind and we were riven by war and bloodshed. From now on our nation will belong to the community of peace loving and the freedom loving nations of the world and work courageously and industriously, to foster it’s own civilization and well being and at the same time promote world peace and freedom. Yet there are those who oppose this work, and attack Communist values and all they stand for. Who you ask? I will tell you! The Capitalists and the Imperialists!" he roared sweeping his hand across the great square. “Not only them however! They are in league with a vast array of evil forces! Foreign powers like vultures swoop closer in on the Motherland!" cries of anger went up from the crowd
"These empty minded fools who believe in idealistic dreams! They want to make FEAR weak! Long have they desired the dismemberment of the Motherland! No I say! Ours will no longer be a nation subject to insult and humiliation. We have stood up. Our Revolution has won the sympathy and acclaim of the people of all countries. We have friends all over the world. We shall emerge in the world as a nation with an advanced culture. We shall be strong and feared. Our work will be long and hard, our trials and travails many. Democracy has failed, capitalism has failed, and socialism is the way forward. Liberalism, democracy, and capitalism these are the scourges afflicting our world The cancer of our world! They must be crushed! Destroy their homes, burn their belongings, strike them down wherever they stand!" he shouted, “Our military will be greater than ever before! Our war machine shall be unstoppable, invincible! FEAR shall be mighty and no one will dare threthan us and attack us ever again!
"And we shall triumph! And we shall conquer! The time of our rise is neigh today is the day for a new FEAR a greater FEAR than has ever existed before!" he lifted his hands high into the air and for one shining moment of glory the people say his vision rear up before them in all its majesty.

It was a cool February Day. The people of America were rising, about to go about their business. Children were in school, men and women each headed off to work.
Robert Paulson walked as he would normally. A plainclothes policeman’s first rule was to never attract attention. It was early, nine o clock. There was no reason for today to be any different.
It was then where he noticed a plane flying above. Although foreign, there was nothing to be fearful of-there was daily flights between Miami and New York, and the Confederacy was considered one of the American Federation’s most beneficial trade partners. It could be presumed that the plane was flying to Liberty International Airport. It was then when Paulson looked away, and it was then when he heard a deafening boom.
He turned in fear. Sure enough, the World Trade Center had been hit, by the very same plane he had seen just seconds ago. The World Trade Center was properly misnamed-it could be more appropriately be called the Chicago Pact Trade Center. It was there were Argentine diplomats were receiving the loan from the Federation today, where diplomats and bankers from all the nations were. Paulson had trouble breathing, until a second plane hit, still from the same foreign airline.
This was going to be one hell of a day for the fire department.

Daniel Idrey exhaled in excitement. After years of reading about it and seeing countless pictures, he was finally here. With his eight grade class, he would finally see Independence Hall, the birthplace of the original United States! His parents were far away in St. Louis, this was his first time away from home and his parents. How exhilarating! As he inched forward, his teacher, Ms. Nelson, called the children forward in line.
As Daniel started walking towards the hall, a group of older men, all blond with funny haircuts and clothing, brushed forward into the hall.
“They’re Mormons” whispered Lisa, the teacher’s assistant. “They’re the people who hate our country so much”.
“If they hate our country so much, why are they here?”
The men were stopped outside by the security guard. Soon, words filled the air: New York, Terrorists, Confederates, treason, plot. I was confused, but the teacher looked worried. All of the sudden, things became violent, with the guards and the crowd calling mean names toward the men, and rushing towards them. Then, one of the men brought out a gun, killing the security guard. Then, one of the men cried “For God, I die today!”
And then the world ended.
