Senator Tong sat by the window of his hospital room, staring out over the vast expanse of Kuala Lumpur. Only a few blocks away, he could see the Senate building, and the gaping hole in the front where two car bombs had been driven into the building. For the last few months, construction workers swarmed over the building daily, trying to restore it to its former prestige. It had been five months since the attack, Senator Tong thought. Five months to this very day. Strange. And it seemed like only yesterday to him.
He remembered the event like it was only yesterday. At 2 oclock in the afternoon, he had left his office early in order to catch a train to Singapore. He was one of the few Singaporean senators in ASEAN and he had been going to visit his wife. After finishing up some paperwork and having a discussion with some other senator from Burma, he had left the building. As he was descending the steps to the sidewalk, a commotion broke out on the road, and as he looked on in horror, two cars swerved off the road and ran into the side of the Senate building, only a few yards away. He had tried to find cover but it was to late. First one car and then the other exploded in a fiery burst. Only the brave actions of a young boy had stopped him from being impaled with a piece of stone that had being sent flying by the blast.
As it was, the Senator had received burns, head trauma, and two broken legs from the explosion. For over a month he had been in critical condition, barely staying alive. But now the danger to his life had passed and he had been recovering for the last four months. Only his broken legs kept him from leaving the hospital. He felt so cooped up in the hospital room, even though it was one of their best. Several other senators and important people were in this same hospital, recovering from the explosion, including one of the Presidents sons.
Senator Tong spent most of his mornings staring out over the city from his hospital window, watching the crowds pass by. He turned his attention to Liberty Park, a large plot of land in the center of the city, opposite from the hospital. There, a company of the national guards was raising the flag and a solitary man stood on a high platform, staring down on the crowds assembled, seemingly giving a speech. Then the senator remembered. Today, in honor of the June 3rd attack, a memorial was being held, and the president was giving a speech. He looked carefully down on the park from the confines of his room. He had seen the president give many speeches in the senate, but this seemed somehow different.
His attention was distracted by a disturbance down on the street. Cars were honking and people started to rush towards the street. All of the sudden, he felt the building shudder somewhere behind him. Several floors down, people started screaming. Suddenly, another violent concussion rocked the building, this time in a different spot. Senator Tong was thrown to the floor, and as he tried to get up, he heard screaming throughout the building. He pulled himself to the windowsill and managed to get a glance out the window, just in time to see a car pull off the street and drive straight into the side of the hospital, directly below him.

Special New Bulletin, Malaysian News Channel
Anchor: Folks, were sorry for the interruption of the scheduled show, but news has just come into the station that Im sure youll like to hear as soon as possible. The time is 3:15 PM and Im sorry to inform you that a car bomb has, only fifteen minutes ago, driven into the Kuala Lumpur Hospital, in down town Kuala Lumpur. Our reporter should be arriving on site right about now, so well take it to him.
Reporter: Thanks news desk. Well folks, Im here at the site of the car bombing at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital. The police and fire departments wont let me get any close than this, but you can see the damage done from here.
A: So, are there any clues on who committed this horrible act of terrorism?
R: Well, even if I had to guess, Id say it is obviously connected to the recent acts of terrorism coming from the PRC. In fact, today is the five-month anniversary of the car bombing of the Senate building. Sadly, and almost ironically, most of those injured in that bombing were still recovering in this very hospital.
A: Yes, thats very unfortunate. But you hinted that you know for sure who was behind this.
R: Well, not yet for sure, but Ive been talking to some people here on the street that witnessed the event. It seems that not one, but three cars drove into the hospital, all in different locations. Most witnesses agree that the men driving the car looked distinctly Chinese. However, rumor also has it that a fourth car, meant to be driven into the fourth side of the building was stopped by a crowd of onlookers before it had a chance to.
A: So were the terrorists in that car apprehended.
R: No reliable source has confirmed it yet, but it may be that the police were able to capture the man driving the car and have him in custody. However, according to other accounts, he was either killed by an angry on-looker or committed suicide when it became apparent he couldnt get away. Ill have to bring you more on that later. Right now, police and firefighters are trying to evacuate as many people from the building as possible before it collapses. Of course, the fact that most people in there are sick or have injuries doesnt help much.
A: Yes, Im sure. Isnt it also true that many prominent Senators and other government officials are currently in that hospital?
R: Unfortunately, yes. Over a dozen senators injured in the Senate building car bombing are known to be in there. It is also well known that President Adanans youngest son, who is currently recovering from wounds suffered in the Chinese campaign, and was
sorry, I mean is soon to be promoted to generalship for his astounding success in China, is being housed in that hospital.
A: Thank you. Im sure everyone will mourn those dead, and wait with baited breath for further news. Actually, thats just what we have now. Reports have been flooding from dozens of sources, pointing to the fact that this was not the only attack committed today. Supposedly, in FEAR, several government buildings were bombed, and terrorists attacked Vladimir Putins house with rockets. Unfortunately
I mean fortunately, Comrade Putin was not home at the time. Reports have also come in of attacks on government buildings in India and an explosion, which killed one of the leaders of the former South China Army Group. All of these attacks are suspected to be the works of terrorists from the PRC.
