INES II: Gone is the Old Guard

We are prepared to up oil production from our North Slope sites and rescale our oil sands efforts to compensate for the Umma's foolish, short-sighted and self-destructive decision.

The Federal Republic of Alaska pronounces its support for the causes of the ASEAN, the Scandinavian Republic and the Republic of Iberia.

OOC: I'm a bit surprised that none of the Expeditionary Force was in Peninsular Malaya, but oh well- we will work to recover it.

1) It wasn't foolish: who ever heard of supplying your enemies? Have America continued to supply refined Oil to the Japanese? No.

) It wasn't short-sighted. Oiled sands and other related projects are huge undertakings even in OTL america, and with less funding ITL it would mean even less experimental oil, less progress, and unless they drilled their few northern reserves, no oil.

3) It wasn't foolish, I assure you that if you had contorl of oil, you would have shut the valve right away. We did, oil is an Addiction: Oil is power.

4) RECONQUESTIA IBERIA!

To NADTA and other allies: The natural gas reserves in the Gulf of Mexico can be exploited further, if need be.
To Venezuela: I have shown no indication that I cannot be trusted. The mines need to be removed. I feel that they are a violation of the NAP. We can discuss this more privately, if you wish. As for the ex-exiles, they killed Confederate soldiers and Venezuelan soldiers, so after they are prosecuted here, do you wish me to send them to Venezuela?

I believe that the Mines are infact, a sapient third party unleashed and uncontrolably by the Venesualians.

So therefore, please adress to the MINES directly before they come upon land.

BTW: we don't care about your natural farts.

OOC: Well I tried sending some negotiators to the mines, but I couldn't make any headway. Mines have notoriously poor people skills. I realize that you don't care about natural gas reserves, but the message wasn't directed to you.
IC: Xavier Suarez respects the Muslim faith, and sees no reason for hostile rhetoric.
نحن بحاجة إلى سلام .بين الأمم

OOC: It's divisions. Plus you had no real chance with the way you've gone about doing it.

OOC: I'm afraid that was my fault. Should have expected something to come from the west.

To: Alaska
From: ASEAN

We thank our northern friends for their support and assistance in this war. And we will be in need of importing your oil, as we cannot produce quite enough oil at home to fufill the needs of our nation.

Also, it seems that losing 3EP during the invasion, half of our economy, is a bit much, considering only part of Southern China and some of the Malay peninsula were taken.

Southern China held 1-2 ASP of new production.

Malay Peninsula included Singapore and your Capital.

I say 3 EP is pretty fair.

4) RECONQUESTIA IBERIA!

I think he means you were foolish to declare war on your biggest client. OTL: The Americans were your biggest importers. Without American nations buying your oil, you will lose money.

Yeah, 1) the Americans will be hurt more than we will, even if their Consumer drive wasn't as strong as OTL: remember the 70s?

and 2) I have new Neo-Industrializing nations in the Coalition for me to sell my oil. After all, black gold is liquid gold that is black.

In fact, you are not the largest exporter...

Quebecois and Alaskan Oil fields in Canada puts yours to shame.
Deseret owned Mexico, especially since we own northern Mexico where the oil deposits are also puts yours to shame.

OOC: I realize that the page was updated for 2009, but I have discovered that Canada still leads back in 2005, just finding a better link to use. In that one, Mexico was 5th.

But the US still topped every list with over 11 million barrels imported a day. Japan was second with 5 million. This speaks volumes in terms of our much cash you will lose over this deal. (This was the 2005 list.)

4) RECONQUESTIA IBERIA!

Just like Iberia was at one time in the hands of Muslims (who lost it after the True Reconquista), so were Jerusalem, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco et al in the hands of Christians. Let us Christian nations reconquer the ancient lands of Christianity!

Saudi Arabia being the leading member of OPEC purposefully places limits on how much it produces in order to control the price. I wouldn't look at that as it maximum potential.

Generally speaking North America can't match the reserves found in the middle east.

Out of Context. One of our Clerics, Yenlard Garcia, once owned a property in Madrad: it shall be reconquested.

OOC: It's not like Russia and Canada have a dearth of oil, either... Besides, those figures seem somewhat skewed.

I don't need no stinkin' oil. Natgas ftw. Who wants a little Natty?
IC: Xavier Suarez laments that peace can't be forged from all this unhappiness. I urge all of the violent warmongers to lay down their arms and look for peace. I am willing to hold a peace summit on neutral ground in Miami.

Out of Context: This year, the first to strike was Iberia, followed by ASEAN and it's cronies: they merely activated our contingency plans against these strikes: the Pakistani Groups, the invasion, they are all contingencies that would never been enacted if they didn't strike first.

There fore, the DFI is to blame.

Also, it seems that losing 3EP during the invasion, half of our economy, is a bit much, considering only part of Southern China and some of the Malay peninsula were taken.

By that you mean all of Southern China, along with your capital, the Kra Canal, Malaysia, that tunnel thing, and Sumtra were all taken or destroyed. And of course the millions of starving and infected refugee's you accepted. It seems about right.

Your first comment is true, but the reserves are wrong, Canada's Oil reserves are expected to outlast the Middle East.
