SW does not work for me, never downloaded this MOD. I can install manually, but MOD is not fully functional...
@Mark
See this thread for detailed instructions on using the Steam Workshop. Manually installing mods is often more reliable though - don't worry about breaking anything! The worst that can happen is you'll have to verify your game cache.![]()
Does it deactivate when you load a game or something?
Can it be applied to game in progress?
Please note: this mod collects and saves the data it displays, so it will only work with games that have been started after Info Addict is enabled. It is also necessary to keep Info Addict enabled throughout the lifetime of the game to make sure there are no breaks in the data.
Is anyone here interested in a light version of InfoAddict? Light meaning only the relations wheel... I got it working, needs some polishing but I want to know if there is interest for such a thing. Full credits to robk.
This is not a criticism to robk's work at all, but some (like me) may feel that the full IA has too much information that is not given by the "normal" game, and therefore, may feel like "cheating"... not a criticism, just a preference.
Anyways, if there is interest, I may post it after polishing.
I'm interested.but also would like access to it when I'm negotiating.
That is EXACTLY the idea. I got it working like the original IA (mainly accessed from the diplo window), but only showing the relations wheel. I still need to cut some more because even the relations wheel shows more info than what you can access in the normal game (for example, Def Pacts between other civs, and Open Borders (?), or the trade deals between the other civs...). My idea is to recreate the "fog of war" of the unaltered game, but with access to relations from within the diplo game (which is what IA already does, but with all the added information that to me, at least, feels a little (a lot?) like cheating.
No missunderstanding though, robk's work is wonderful... this is only for those who, like me, want to preserve the political "fog of war"...
EDIT: of course, those who are interested, please confirm and re-confirm what of the info from the wheel should and should not be included, as I am not 100% sure... I don't remember seeing any indication in-game as to when two other civs sign a Def Pact, for example, but feel free to correct me if I am wrong. (In fact, please correct me!)
I'd love an IA-'light', I barely use IA, because it feels like cheating to me, but sometimes I feel the vanilla game lacking. An inbetween would be excellent!Is anyone here interested in a light version of InfoAddict? Light meaning only the relations wheel... Did you start a new thread for this? "deep diplo" or "diplo addict" something?
