Haha, no, but it is an honest source I just don't know if he would've wanted me to say who he is... I also don't want him to get the Kate effect when his promise doesn't come through (actually, the fact that it didn't come through is more likely)
3 Sub-Saharan civs - Ethiopia, Zulu and Songhai and 3 North-African civs, so 6 for one continent. North America has 4 with Shoshones and South America has 2 with Brazil and Maya could be counted for either of them.
So, both American continents have 7 civs total, while Africa alone has 6.
There are other areas which need more love. For example, we have zero North-Asian civs, while it's a huge territory with a lot of quite advanced nations throughout its history.
If you do the "Latin America" (Everything South of Mexico) and Anglo-Saxon America (Everything North of Mexico) cultural distinction, you get Maya as a part of South America. If you speak Politically, the middle of the Americas gets often lumped in the whole of Latin America. It depends on the field you are adressing, obviously geologically speaking, this would make no sense...
It's the same discussion on where Europe ends in the East or to what subset of Europe we have to count Poland to. An endless one, I mean.
Just stop trying to feed an offtopic discussion. You can disagree if you want, but my opinion stands: Kongo deserves to be in the game more than Shoshone. This is not the place to discuss it though, so stop trying to feed a flame war.
Telling others to stop offtopic supported by yourself is not a good thing. You're doing it not the first time. If you don't want to participate in discussion, it's better just ignore it.
Yes or could you put them where Maya consider them, as part of North America We have records of early maps of the Americas from early Maya ruins in the snake basin. Even today in Guatemala its considered part of North America. Really only the US tries to define "Central America" as a separate entity apart from N. America. Institutional biases I guess keep this going
I said I agree to disagree, I said the off-topic should stop. I have nothing personal against you, stealth_nsk, but you're still feeding the flames. Let's stop this here.

Brazil separates it too, for us, North America is Mexico-US-Canada, Central America includes the caribbean islands and from Guatemala/Belize to Panama, the rest (Colombia, Venezuela and the others) are South America.
Right. We are down to pretty much a two-week window.
I think next week is more likely than the one following it because we like to take vacations on the week of our Independence Day. It will be harder to get the right level of buzz generated when quite a few of us (and 2K employees and members of the media) are going to be visiting faraway places with questionable connectivity.
So it's better to get the buzz built up prior to that week, so that it carries through. And you Europeans, etc can keep the high levels up while we Americans take a break.
My guess is that they will spill the entire feature set before the reveal anyway. From a marketing POV timing is crucial to get the maximum hype bonus. Each reveal is a valuable bit of promotion.
I wouldn't be surprised if the last week featured a Venice playthrough to demonstrate the "hypercube's" powers.
Which isn't as hot a tip as it seems, considering after the end of next week there's only one week left, and that the week of a major holiday in the U.S. I'll be shocked if they don't release some substantial information next week.
It's a shame, although I'm still having my hopes up there's a "surprise" reveal of it during the last weeks. Maybe the "wonder pic" will be used as background art for something.
Some time ago there was a rumor on another forum that it would be the ideology wonder for Order (which would make a lot more sense than Kremlin) but it seems to have been scrapped, if it was ever going to be in in the first place.
