Ingame Editor

No worries, it's no big deal to change and I feel your pain: it would hurt me to have my logs filled with that. I usually don't care about the XML log and mine doesn't display those warnings, hence why I was unaware of that. Here is the update.

Hello Mars83, it's been a long time. :)

That one really puzzled me because I didn't change anything about the tooltip and it worked fine before. Besides, on one of your screenshots one can see that the icon is correctly displayed above the tabs bar, and it is the very same icon than on the tooltips. I guess this could come from a bug introduced recently in your video card's drivers or a change in civ5's rendering process since the latest patch.

That being said, here is a modified v21 version that slightly changes the tooltips, based on the icons from the tabs bar since those ones work fine. Tell me if it solved anything.

Finally, I could be wrong and the icons files could be different so, if this v21 version does not work, try to ask Steam to check your game (in Steam, right-click your game in the library > properties > local files > check cache integrity). But first try the new version please.

Also, if the new version works, could you check the other icons please? Especially the terrains's panel: on a tile totally surrounded by rivers, are all six edges blue?

tried the updated version... no change.
getting stream to check...
It is saying that 1 file failed to validating and needed to be required...

Before i did the stream thing i checked the other icons all is good.

LOT of wonders...

Sorry to say that but with that enormous list a compatibility problem is really the first thought. Some of the mods are not fully compatible with other mods ( so its not don fault).
After i get some compatible problems i put the stuff of some mods in one great mod together to get a playable version.

Thank you for doing this. I look forward to making a zillion canals.

Hello everyone.

Mars83, unfortunately, I do not think the bug comes from IGE because I can't think of any logical process that would cause that. It could be a mod incompatibility but my guess is rather on a graphics bug, either at civ5's level or your video card's drivers.

Thats where the guessing game comes to play. My computer should be able to handle the graphics on Civ5 thats why i got it for. Might more of the game itself

hi, i am new in civ 5, i hv enable other mods and able to see other mods, for ingame, i try to save the files in the same folders with other mods in my documents, when i run civ 5, and under mod option, it didnt appear for ingame mod.. pls help... i save all mods files including others under Documents/Aspyr/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS/

Hello Edwin.

You need to unzip the zip file. In the end, you should have something like:
Documents/Aspyr/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS/Ingame Editor (v21)/[plenty of files]

If you still have trouble, I suggest you remove the files and use the ingame browser instead since it automatically installs them for you.

thanks for your quick response.. i hv unzip the files with all multiple files int he folder with the same directory. may i know how t o use the ingame browse?

On the same screen where you enabled mods, there are tabs at the top, the second one is to look for mods on the web. Go there and type "ingame", you should see ingame editor. Download and, once it is done, go back to the first tab: there will be a new "install" button at the bottom.

Hi,

Ingame Editor seems to be incompatible with the latest version of the unofficial patch and vanilla enhencement v143.
Errormessage: line877: attempt to concatenate local 'fieldText' (a nil value)
I've tested ingame editor v21 and v22 beta.

Hello Traumtanzbaer.

Unfortunately this one is a bug from Vanilla Enhancement (VEM). I understand it pops up when you try to open IGE but it should also occur without IGE anytime you try to get the tooltip for some buggy buildings (it won't bug with all buildings, only some of them). Besides it seems to come from incomplete data persisted by VEM and it does not occur on my computer for example, with the same version you used. As far as I understand it looks like a bug from VEM that would cause this problem anytime you enable a mod adding buildings after previously using VEM.

The only way I could circumvent that problem would be to force IGE to use the vanilla tooltip for buildings and not use the modified version from mods. Since those ones can mention specific informations related to their specific mechanics, such a change would be detrimental for other players. (Edit ->) Well, actually I should be able to silently replace the tooltip if any error occur, I will do that if the VEM team does not want to fix that..

Please contact the authors of VEM and report this bug to them. Meanwhile you can try to delete the content of ModUserData (you only need to delete the files created by VEM but you may delete all of them, it would be like doiing a fresh install of all mods, losing your custom settings for the mods who have them).

Hello again,

thanks for your very fast answer!
I've testet building popups in the city screen and i couldn't see any malfunctions regarding this stuff, but i'll report this error to the VEM-authors.
After going through the common issues checklist of VEM, I could find out, that deleting the old VEM-version in the MODS-folder, solved the problem.
Everything seems to work quite well.

Thanks a lot!

Hi DonQuiche
Thank you for your mod, is amazing!

But I had one problem. The image of natural wonders fails to show on the map when I try to add some natural wonders, the image of terrain stays the same as before ; not sure it is a bug or I did not do it correctly. I am using the latest version.
