Ghandi is probably the most flexible leader in the game when it comes to great people. Philosophical for obvious reasons and spiritual allows you to switch into and out of caste system (and later pacifism) for free. Especially fun if you build the oracle (fast workers chopping and mysticism start help here!) and take code of laws to allow that switch early on, to generate multiple gp before 1000 BC.

What stategies have you guys come up with for expoiting his gp generation?

Here are a few exploiting oracle -> col and early caste system:

Unit upgrades. Generate multiple merchants for trade missions, use gold to upgrade warriors to metal units, dominate a neighbour or three. Especially good if you can access an AI temple of artemis city early enough. Tech math and construction for chops and seige to back up your massive stack when it starts slowing down. AbsoluteZero showcases this one nicely in a lp video iirc.

Early super bureau capital for high commerce starts. Generate a scientist and a merchant asap for early academy and civil service bulb (order determined by your land+how much commerce you have I guess). Especially good if you have a secondary city/cities with high food to run your specialists, which allows you to cottage/grow your riverside capital on the cottages earlier. Usual tech sale/failgold tactics funding constant 100% research to exploit those multipliers. Should still have enough time to generate two more scientists elswehere to double bulb education early for even more multiplers too.

Multiple scientist bulbs. Usual schenanigens - machinery/engineering bulbs for rushing multiple AI with crossbows and/or trebs (avoid fishing).

Or bulb everything on the lib path asap - civil service needs a merchant, then scientists for everything else - philo first for pacifism then paper, education (double), liberalism. Not sure what you'd take with lib that early, something good to seal the deal as your base tech rate would be too slow to compete later on. Gunpowder maybe?

Keep generating gp and settle everything after academy - obsolete style. Not tried this but would imagine it needs the mids for rep, and maybe a pacifism bulb to shine. So probably no time for the oracle.

Erm COl caste works well. Although slavery is still very useful for getting buildings/units early

Great lib and music free artists will work nicely for a golden age and lots of great people.

using GM to upgrade warriors for a rush?? Maybe HA to curs. Or axe to mace. You are better off building lots of axes/swords with pults. or just rush with 7-13 axes pending on level you play at. You don't need GM for early rushes just lots of forest/copper and BW. Of course an HA rush might be quicker

GS bulb for xbow???? GE bulb maybe. Bulbing machinery stops the liberalism bulb.

Overall I normally bulb for a deep tech to get a military advantage. Merchants are useful but only if you have lots of units worth upgrading and you have reached liberalism

If you play RLC #2 with Ghandi you can do the following which I'm in the middle of trying :)

oracle -> machinery (poly not med)
Double bulb astronomy
Bulb engineering
Bulb gunpowder
Double bulb chemistry
Double bulb military science

Attack early with the crossbows and upgrade them to grenadiers to take over everyone with cannons if necessary :) If trades are available you end up self teching MC, CoL and optics while you should be able to trade for everything else and just run a 0% slider.

Well you can get a nice Mace catapult rush going by bulbing Mach, and CS. But you need the AI to be at least Imm or else you won't get the nice trades to make it quick. Or you can get Bulb Eng with ease. If you want to go really deep you can bulb your way to Steel.
