Interesting Screenshots

I was watching my friends play civ on my computer.(hotseat game) Because neither of them have it and they both love it. Their names are Kamil And Tatiana, and the weirder fact is that Persia was at war with Portugal, and the Immortals are right in the middle of their territory.

Wow. That be some mighty poor intelligence if they can't see the Persians in their own territory.

In multi-player a newbie (to the game) would do well to fear the workers of a veteran player... because veteran players know fully well that "workers ARE the weapon." Seriously, just look at the production bonuses the AIs get at upper levels. How do vets survive early and surpass the AIs later? Largely through better use of workers.

Screenie #1: Just to add to odd colors, the Dutch got Dark Blue as their color. England and the Ottomans were listed before them, so they took the two Dutch colors.
Screenie #2: Well, thanks for the advice, I hadn't realized.

It's funny how the trade advisor always go on about getting more resources and luxes.

Is the Trade Advisor ever happy with the resources and luxuries? I've never seen her give me a good comment.

I once got him to say, "You have absolutely no resources!!!! Acquire some before they are monopolized by others."

The line "We should aquire more resources and trade it with our friends" cracks me up almost every single time I read it. I mean, after you've aquired all the resources, there'll hardly be any friends left.

Well, there's still 4 puny nations left in that screenshot of mine a few pages ago, 3 of which are confined to Australia and Greenland that I could conquer in about 10 turns.

This is a shot of my biggest amount of cities. I'm sharing a continent with the Inca and i'm the Babylonians.

Looks like a major case of Wonder addiction.

Why build temples when you are building the TOA?

A few things:
If the ToA takes 117 turns, don't build it. Now I shouldn't be saying that, the name of my cat is Artemis.
Why are you building the FP in a city two squares away from the capital? The FP reduces corruption in the city built and the surrounding cities, kinda like the actual palace, but less effectively.
Why do you even have cities two squares away from each other? You don't want squares to overlap much, it sucks having squares that one city can't work because another city is working.

Yeah, I'm no good with managing cities. So you are suggesting I build cities 3 tiles away from each other?

He's playing Conquests, NOT Vanilla. In Conquests the FP doesn't create a second core so much. It more just reduces corruption overall for the empire. So, it generally makes more sense to build the FP as early as possible than to worry about placement. I know I've put my forbidden palace up in my first ring of cities in some HoF runs... though not very often at ICS spacing like that.

Wonder addiction and ICS....now there is a unique combo. Sounds like a legendary story in the making.
