As always, I wait for this with great expectations. :D

You don't know how the hell I could write 44 pages of rules for GangIOT 2? let me give you a list of the things I deleted before I posted it.

- Gang Occupations. If a gang of a certain occupation tryins to get money from another source of income , they will fail. There were multiple sources of income, like refugees, car races, train transport.
- Existing gangs. I cut ALL existing gangs to remove a big load. I had three Italian Mafia families, the Russian Mafia, four Mexican gangs, three black gangs, a biker gang , Chinese Triads, etc.
- Security companies. You don't want to know.
- Experience, age, birthday parties, action streaks for OG's.
- Drug Vans, trucks, Speedboats, Yachts, Race cars.
- Spies within rival gangs.
- Several types of drugs, with different prices (heroin, extasy, LSD, marijuana, cocaine, meth etc)
- Different types of cars for each city
- Gang Alliances, Peace treaties
- Side-missions with objectives that once reached, give rewards.
- Prostitutes and pimps
- a Happyness stat for the gang, related to loyalty, but affecting different things.
- storing money in the bank, the ability to rob a bank where others had money, or even rob yourself and get to keep the money you stole plus the insurance given by the bank.
- Housing ( like in GangIOT 1) and garages to hold cars.
- Bigger gang hierarchy ( now it's Member- Special Members-Different Levels of OG's-Leader) which contained Gangsters, Soldiers, Mercenaries, three ranks of members, four more types of special members, gang associates and corrupt cops.
- weather forecast, that affected certain actions ( if it rains, it's easier todo Gun Raids, if it's storm , certain actions are disabled etc)
- Monthly Gang Leader Meetings with prizes.
- 31 more OG proffessions.

So yeah, I created an entire friggin new game. If I take the 3-hours programming course and doodle in MS Paint for a few days, I can turn it into a full PC game. And you won't be in the credits.

I don't know who you are Chester. To me, all you are is another newbie GM. The difference between you and other newbie GMs is your soaring lack of respect for your playerbase and other GM opinions.

The fact no one played GangIOT 1 because the game was an overcomplicated piece of mess should tell you that no one is going to play GangIOT for more than a few hours. Especially given you're not an IOTer (you don't play IOTs), or a NESer (you don't play NESes), so no one even knows who you are.

If your ruleset was really 44 pages, I'm so happy you wrote 44 pages no one will ever read.

Or play.

Just because you make a long piece of crap doesn't make it a better piece of crap than most of the crap that passes before my eyes on a daily basis.

But please, do turn it into a PC game. You're just so awesome and stuff.

Edit: No one wants to be in the credits of a Magna Mundi standalone.

Soaring lack of respect for the playerbase? Please point me my playerbase first. I'l lrespect them when I have them.
And soaring lack of respect for other GM's? Crap, i'm turning into areal CFC'er! Gotta change that, quick.

And I don't mind writing stuff nobody will read. As a matter of fact, I wrote a 3.000 pages fanfic for a game called Majesty. Only me ( and probably the CIA) read it .

And don't tell me I don't play IOT's. I'm reluctant to join because my RP skills suck. Still, I joined Valkyrie ( until it died), Cannibal Holocaust ( which was abandoned) the Happening and two more IOT's whose names I can't remember.

Plus, GangIOT wasn't my first....

I didn't even knew it was long until I finished. I kept on writing and writing without stopping until... I stopped and looked at the page count. After I picked up my jaw, I started shortening it. You DO realise that I still have the original and that I can make it worse..... don't you?

But please, do turn it into a PC game.
Can't. but it's a very good idea for a flash game, which I can do. Only I need to remove all GTA refferences, and all IOT refferences. And I'll put you in the credits.

You don't need rp skills to play an IOT well

I do poorly because I make bad decisions a lot

you need to respect the people in the first place. that is how you will get players. and, your attitude is very disrespectful.

What ever one is feared or loved it is important to not get hated and disrespect can lead down to the hate road quickly.

What Math said. if you act respectful, put up interesting IOTs, learn from other GMs, and generally try to learn from what goes on in IOT without arbitrarily assuming you already know everything you need to - and that everyone who disagrees with you is a jackwagon - the players will come.

You also need to play before you GM. Get into the community. Even if you fail a few IOTs, just try your best and have fun. Make some friends. THEN start a game with the lessons you've learned from playing.

It's how everyone here started.

Why, thank you for telling me the answers to the test paper five months after sending it to "Answer correctly or be cursed to rot in Hell Forever" competition!
So, should I delete my account, or should I just lay under the radar until the major IOT's are over?
Maybe take the third option: get one of those pens, like in Men in Black, delete all your memories of me and screw things up again. Yeah, that'll work.

Anyway, stop talking about me, I feel flattered , and when that happens, I get crazy ideas.

Maybe you should start heeding our collective advise and start joining in a few more IOTs so you can learn both how IOTs operate and some manners.

Anyway, stop talking about me, I feel flattered , and when that happens, I get crazy ideas.

Your not my sovereign.

Dude, no one here holds grudges for very long exceptformebutthatwassomethingverypersonalandpeoplehavelearnednottomesswiththatsincethensoitallworkedoutforthebestandMosherandIaretalkingagainsothere. if you just join some IOTs, play around, and try to have fun and be part of the community, then host a game in a month or two, I'm sure people will join as long as the concept is interesting.

If you are a new GM, best try simple ideas. When I first tried to make IOT's, I made them complex like you and they all failed. When I created ChristosIOT, I wanted a simple game that would not take too much time to GM. Guess what? It worked. Now that I have better GM experiance I can make a bit more complex games.

So, first try a simple IOT.

The SCS(Standard Combat System). I use a derivative of it, but here's the actual thing. Every unit has 1 strength. For every tech level, that's multiplied by one more point.

Hence. Two units at tech level one is 2 strength. Three units at tech level two is six strength.

RNG the victor, and then do casualties. Victor can inflict up to 100% of their strength in losses, loser up to 50% of theirs.

Takes like one minute to do even the hugest of battles, and that's IF you count victory by "best two out of three" like I do.

I use the following system:

Armies and Navies are divided in Units. Each Unit has Cost, Attack and Defense. Example:

Squad
Cost: 2 IC
Attack: 4
Defense: 3

For fighting I use the following formula:

Numbers + Attack + Luck (RNG) VS Numbers + Defense + Luck.

The one with the higher number wins. For Luck I use RNG from 1 to 10.

What do you do for casualties?

All defeated units die. All winning Units do not die. Simple.
