What's all the black?
That doesn't make any sense. The entire world should be colonized.
Black Plague. Muslims didn't want to get involved in that mess. It lingered longer due to not even having pointy nosed doctors.
I think I might make a renaissance IOT sometime, I just never have had the time, I made this map in December.
Sometimes, I wish there was an IoT where everyone could just sit back, relax, and settle their differences with gladiatorial contests involving laser beams.
How about a future-themed IOT? Maybe starting around 2076 or so? Sort of like Risk 2100 AD, in a way. I still haven't figured out how exactly it would work or be different, but any thoughts?
Risk 2100 AD
Red launches nuke.
Game Over.
Rematch: Y/N?
There wouldnt be WMDs in it however, or they would be severly limited.
So, it would be a World War 2 game?
Replace riflemen with laser infantry, cavalry with "hover tanks", and cannons with "plasma artillery" and it's all pretty much the same concept wise.
Things you should know about IOT: Colonialism II:
First, it's name will not be Colonialism 2.p) Because you can now successfully create a huge empire in Europe unlike the first, therefore making colonization simply an option, it's name will be:
Imperium Offtopicum: The Age of Discovery
Second, navies this time.Well, actually I'm adding a couple things...
Slaves
Iron & Blood esque battle system (with several modifiers)
Tech
A larger gap between provinces and colonies, now they have disadvantages and advantages to the other.
Revolts
And a bunch more...
If you played IOTC, you will know the start area became cramped WAY too quickly. So I made these changes:
Map expanded, West Russia now accessible
More provinces
Dropped coast requirement
You might start with 5 claims, but I'm not sure on this yet.
Lastly, you need settlers for claiming in the start point now along with colonies.
Lastly, the resources are now images, not just colors on a province. This means we can put nations and resources on the same map.
Yes, in a way, But you would be able to build space colonies and I am thinking of having three maps: one for Earth, one for the Moon, and one for Mars, and I am thinking of implementing a "wonder" system. You wouldn't be able to colonize space until mid-game in order not to give anyone an early-game advantage.
At which point it isn't really a game of Risk set in the future anymore.
@NN
And I have one waiting too!
