IOT Enlightenment 2: Philosophers and Kings

The Dene Empire recognizes Iron China as the de facto extension of the Iron Islands,
one nation in practice, flying two flags of convenience for doubling the trade values
they accrue.

As such, Dene encourages the other nations to not support such blatant chicanery
with the reward of additional trade income.

Yes, but what is your definition of powergaming?

Anyway, if I lose, can I join as Japan, split my 3 provinces into 3 independent states and have triple trade income?

If not, explain to me why.

I think Light is looking for you to have two additional accounts in that instance.
I am not too sure if they have to be different people though.

Oh, if you have 2 friends you *can* just like Sone and nedim *could*.

Didn't say it was a wise idea though.

Oh, are you *implying* that you are going to *punish* them? :p

New Spain
4 IP

Build 4 Irregulars: 4 IP

Offer trade / accept trade: Everyone!

Accepting all trade offers, from everyone ever, EXCEPT Iron Islands and Iron China, of course.

I shouldn't be punished for utilizing legitimate strategy. If you can find two other players to each play one of your provinces, by all means, do. Bringing in players is a tactic that has been used since the beginning, from Argentina in RISK to various countries in DoC.

The strategy has risk and reward. It isn't my problem I know people who would gladly and happily be my govenors.

Is this any different from spawning NPC revolters and then trying to instant trade with them? If anything, it is more fair.

I accept trade wit New Spain.

Utilizing legitmate strategy is one thing. Bringing in a player with no interest in playing the game purely to gain an in-game advantage is another, and I draw that line at dictating what that player's national trait and claims will be.

Sure, it's totally legal and I'll let him play. Just no complaining if things go south.

Accept New Spain Trade

Just noticed the other two pages.

1. Son, you are cheating. I don't want you to take this the wrong way, I mean, I still like you as a person. But you are cheating.

2. Who is Patriotic Fool? I am honoring my alliance regardless. Revised orders incoming when I find out who.

3. There is no number 3.

I accept trade with everyone, including Iron China and New Spain. Even if I am unhappy with both of the circumstances surrounding both of them.

No one forced Nedim to join. He's very much free to not accept the contract and leave at his own volition. There is also nothing stopping him from not being my Royal Governor.

I merely stated the terms of being my governor of Iron China and had he not want to do it, he didn't have to and I could find someone else to take his position.

I don't take it personally, don't get me wrong on that.

However, it isn't cheating. Cheating would be paying only 2 IP to build a Regular. Now that would be cheating. Am I breaking any rules? How can I? There is no rule or mechanic stated that would point to me having broken any rules or doing anything that would result in penalty other than having to give over 3 IPs to someone else.

There still isn't a rule against it other then vaguely alluded to GM meta actions being prepared against Iron China and the Iron Islands.

Heck, they're even trading with everyone possible, which helps everybody. Everyone is benefiting in trade from Iron China.

I am declaring war on Norskandi. We will not stand for this unholy method of fighting. Do battle in the open, cowards!

I call upon all honorable nations to join us.

1. Is it cheating if the gamemaster says it is ok?
