IOT Organisational and Discussion Thread

Why dont you try to improve yourself first?

...I have. I have set out my nations to be nations that "insert this to here." I do not for instance have a European king rule China for instance, nor do I copy from a series into a game... yet. While I may not have GMed I am sure not to be unfortunate implications, nor do I steal copy and paste stuff from works into my earth setting. I have developed since my days with IOT 9, my first game, to learn more of political considerations. I seek to improve my characture casting and evolve. I have hence the right to advise people to improve.

What if people want to improve in a different way to that which you think?
What if - heaven forbid - not everyone sees IOT as a literary testing ground for self improvement?

Forgive me. It just that players impact on players. I just feel that by improving themselfs players will make IOTs more richer for themselves and other players. It is community considerations, of helping IOT evolve. It is about ensuring a rise in quality for quality is the path IOT needs to ensure its survival.

What if someone saw it as, I don't know, a game, instead of a political forum?

A game played by many players. Improvement is to set to help other players as well. This is a political game yes? Hence better improved nations would ensure better political play in the games.

Now that might just be a step too far CivO...

Rather than censoring other people, I'd GM a game with a setting which does not allow such a roleplaying. :D

Forgive me but I did not advocate censoring but rather encouring improvement. GMing has importance but this is set to help improve the players. If one improves themselfs they will find more taste of joy in the fruits of IOT.

...my eye is on this.

Well well well, that banner is definitely very good.

I am totally being the Pirate King to Ailed's Stanley

The Setting is 2022, more or less modern tech...the premises for the collapse of nations before the happening will be revealed.

EDIT: I would appreciate if your nations made sense....

I look forward to this. I will decide the kind of power to play as when the time comes but be sure that I look forward to play.

This was an edit I made but nobody read:

I must say, Ailedhoo, you are unable to understand that for other people improvement is not eternal variation and switching and trying to create equally good and exhausting and annoying nations every time. I am kinda tired of Coruscant too, but do you see me complain and pick on him because of that? Now I concur that CG should get over the Coruscant jokes, but you don't have to keep bashing him.

Joan and TK are Mabel and Frederic, and Nedim can be Ruth.

Who are these people? Nevermind, I'll google it.

To be honest, I'm not going to be bringing my hobby nation back into the mud of IOT again. Especially after the backlash I've received.

But you don't have to keep bashing him.
Thank you JoanK :).

The Pirates of Penzance, a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta

Yes, yes, I knew where the characters are from, I just did not know their roles.
