When we claim our new lands, do we make an image showing which ones we claim, or do we just say "The province with spice above my territory" in red?

And one last question (sorry, just want to get everything down right now), should we PM you claims or post them in-thread?

in thread but in bolded red, but you can pm me if you want secret orders to be sent, just ask, its better to ask than make a mistake

Constantinople, Byzantium

"News has reached us of the collapse of the slavic peoples. They are weak and divided. Calling their practices barbaric would be putting it politely." said Leon Agallon, an excited military advisor to Emporer Basil "Armies, besides ours of course, are unheard of in the Balkans. I say we must press our advantage and claim the rest of greece!"

The emporer replied in a happy tone, this was the first good news Basil had heard in ages for the recovering empire,

"Begin bribing local slavic rulers in greece, make demands of annexation, arrange royal marriages and what not. Do not use force just yet. With luck, the reconquest of greece will be complete, in fact make that an official policy of the Patriarch for all good christians in our lands. This also brings to mind the fact we, as of yet, have not much of a military ourselves. Use the treasury funds to assemble a legion fitting of the Empire of New Rome."

"Yes sire, right away."

When the advisor left to go about the buisiness of the Emporer's will, Basil reclined on his throne with a sigh. Perhaps things were looking up for the Byzantines again. The orthodox christians of Ethiopia and Pyonyang had already re-united with the church of constantinople. The christians of russia were still under the iron rule of the Khan, however. Perhaps better relationships should be made between the orthodox nations.

The Fall of the Xian Dynasty and The Rise of the Liu Dynasty

(1311 - 1451)

With the annezation of Northern Korea, the Xian Dynasty reached it's height in power in 1311. Unfortunately for them, their heyday would not last long. The empire had 2 enemies with great power as well, the Shang Kingdom, and Inner Mongolia. There were other nations in the land too, such as Japan, Tibet, Great Malacca, the Indian Empire, The Golden Horde, and of course, Korea.

The situation in 1311.

Xian had had several disputes with the 2 kingdoms, but this was the worst. Both Shang and Inner Mongolia declared war on the empire. Combined, it was too much. Several areas collapsed, and were brought under control of either nation. Meanwhile other disputes occured in Tibet, who gained Nepal and Bhutan. The Indian Empire fell into civil war as well, and the nations of Mumbai and Madras arose. In the Pacific, Japan also fell apart, with Uesugi and Kagoshima rising up.

The situation in 1358. New nations are named.

By 1374, the war was wearing down the empire quickly. Inner Mongolia conquered the link between Xian and Peking, and split the dynasty in two. Japan meanwhile collapsed completely, along with Madras. Great Malacca starts to move away from Tibet, who is also losing territory. Mumbai, too, falls back to the coast, and starts to collapse. Korea is reformed into Pyongyang, which takes back North Korea, and the land known as Shandong Bandao, which was breifly occupied by the Shang.

The situation in 1374. New nations are marked as usual. Xian and Peking are different nations, but are under the same dynasty.

By 1399, all hope is lost for the empire. Xian is overrun by Inner Mongolia, and their ally, Pyongyang, loses part of North Korea and all of South Korea. Tibet and the Indian Empire fall apart, and Malacca loses all territory above the Malay Peninsula. But Xian's enemies are crumbling, too. The Shang are losing land to the west, while the Golden Horde and Inner Mongolia go to war, which hurts them alot. The Kingdom of the Dragon also becomes independent from the Shang.

The situation in 1399. New nations are marked.

In 1432, the Emperor dies without a son, and a succession crisis occurs. But a new Emperor rises to the throne, and begins the Liu Dynasty, which ends the Xian Dynasty. Inner Mongolia, the Golden Horde, and the Shang start to crumble completely, while the Dragon Kingdom takes some of the coastline and Pyongyang expands to Japan.

I'm confused. Can I convert MP to XP, and if so, at what ratio?

Going off with what Maxa said...

Tiran Malayu had become leader for a reason. He was not born into the royal family; he fought his way in and claimed the throne for himself. He knew the peasants would resent this, so he quickly put his goal out: to make Great Malacca worthy of its name again. Previously, Malacca had been a proud nation, spreading north to the nations of China and India. Then the rulers grew proud and corrupt, spending the nation's resources on luxuries for themselves.

It is unknown when they took notice, but barbarians realized the weakness of Malacca and stormed in, destroying all of the empire north on the peninsula. The many islands revolted, forming their own minor states under the governors previously appointed by the royals. And still the royals threw lavish parties and wasted resources. By the time Tiran took office, the once mighty empire was a shell of it's former self.

But Tiran had ambition. He would spread Malacca to its former glory... and more. It would spread across oceans, to new lands. It would reclaim its proper land. He had made his ambition clear, and the already weakened minor island states were heeding his call. They would join the country soon enough, but first came the issue of the northern barbarians. An army would be fielded, then sent north to reclaim the land once held by Malacca.

The sun was rising again for Great Malacca.

The Scottish-Icelandic War

In order to prove himself worthy as the King of Scots, James II of Scotland has invaded Iceland. Mobilized High and Lowlanders rallied to the St. Andrew's Cross, and sailed northwards. Nobles have sent their knights, hoping to add some land to their titles. With cannons blaring, mounts rushing, and bagpipes playing, the Scottish Army utterly crushed Iceland, with the king fleeing the island to a place they call "Vinland". The few nobles that haven't fled or died swore fealty to James II, who has recently been crowned King of Iceland

King James II (King James in Iceland), High King of Celts and King of Iceland

Formation of the Celtic Crown

Meanwhile, the Gaelics of the world now have a reason to go on the street to rejoice. The Normans are being pushed out by the native Celtic population, and they have lost most of their land. The French invaders only control Munster now. The Irish now free, invited James II down to the Emerald Isle. There, he was sent to the ancient Hill of Tara, where the High King of Ireland were crowned. The Irish Council, a union of high class Irishmen formed during the rebellion, presented James with the Irish crown. James then combined the titles of the High King of Ireland and the King of Scots into the High King of Celts.

King Henry II of France spent 1453 in Campaigns in Southern France. He had deemed that the situation in France was much worse then that in England and given that France had the larger population and was the richer of his two kingdoms, he decided controlling France was more important.

In February he lay siege to Toulese. One of the most heavily fortified cities in Southern France, and one of the most disappointing losses to the rebels the previous year.

As usual with Henry's campaigns he was quick and looked for decisive victories as early on as possible. As a result his was council had described him as impatient. He demanded to assault the walls early on in the campaigns and as a result lost more lives then he would have if he assaulted later.

However it was the impatience that allowed him to sweep through the country side as quickly as he did. After taking Toulouse he started fighting his way North. In October Henry received news that York had evidently laid siege to a Scottish city, as apparently Scotland had arrogantly taken the city of York during their invasion of Northern England. Opening up a new front seemed to be a big mistake in the war, as the Duke of Cornwall, taking advantage of this, managed to make significant ground in Western England. Meanwhile Wales rebelled against the Yorks, and created an alliance with Ireland in hopes to prevent either England or Scotland from taking over.
Victory against the Yorks now seemed Guaranteed.

This allowed Henry to focus more on France then England. Later in October the Duke of Normandy laid siege to the city of Champagne, the city would surrender in December.

Henry V, following a successful campaign against Southern France would move north to the Duchy of Orleans. Orleans was the first city that successfully rebelled against the English rule back in 1429. Joan of Arc, the current Duchess of Orleans has ruled the city and the nearby country ever since. Hoping to return to London for Christmas, Henry hastened the siege, loosing thousands of soldiers in the early days of the siege. However England was eventually able to breakthrough, and on December 11th, Joan surrendered the city to England.

Following the campaigns in 1452 here is the map of England and France:
fAmyh.png

In Red: Lands under the rule of England or France in 1452
In Pink: Lands gained by Cornwall over York.
In Purple: Lands gained by Normandy over Champagne
In Dark Red: Lands gained by King over Orleans and Southern France
In Yellow: Lands still controlled by York
In Blue: Rebels living under either England's or France's SOI
In Light Green: Lands Henry V is permitting the Scots to expand there. To avoid any conflicts between the two cities.

Sorry for the really complicated map, if you want I will make simplified version.

Also question:
Can we pocket money?

@Omega, your claims in Iceland conflict with my SOI, just saying.

@Omega: Your claims in Ireland conflict with my SOI (the one Irish territory I actually want), Can you please change it.

Thank you,
Ilduce

No. I posted my story and claims first, plus that defeats the point of being the High King of Celts

@Omega, your claims in Iceland conflict with my SOI, just saying.

You are more reasonable. However, I want that Sulfur. Scandanvia already has the best resources as is, and you have no competition. The last thing you need is the gunpowder. Perhaps we could work it out? I really have no claims outside of next turn. I could give you some XPs 2 turns from now?

I will give up the western territory in Iceland, but not the whole thing.
