actually we did not, (or where you talking about Norway?), when I said the rest of Ireland, he thought I meant all of Ireland, so what I was offering, and the terms Omega were accepting were different...

I accept the Royal marriage from Byzantium, claim the rest of Korea, and build 1 army

Korea, traditionally a country of Buddhists, and other eastern Religions is experiencing the affects of a new faith, the royal family has converted after a trip to Constantinople, the people are slowly starting to accept this faith. The Bishop of Pyongyang hopes that he can spread the word of God to all in Asia.

Gunpowder weapons are starting to appear in more frequency in Korean armies, as it has been realized that traditional armies are not as useful as they once were. Many Korean scholars predict that before long they will make armour and castles obsolete.

Actually techincally speaking the bow is better then the musket, but the cost to maintain an army of archers is significantly higher the it is to maintain an army of muskets. Hence why most countries changed over...

Nikosi Mnguni, King of the Bantu, overseer of great wealth, was the king who was destined to rule all of southern Africa. He had already brought together the six tribes of the Ndebele people, and had an empire that stretched from one sea to the other.

But this was not good enough. There were still vast amounts of unexplored land that could be brought into the kingdom. In these vast lands, there were untold resources that would increase the wealth and power of the Great Zimbabwe.

Ndebele scouts had told of vast herds of elephants to the north. The Maasai and Samburu peoples in these lands were also without king and ruler, and early contact showed that they were friendly to the Ndebele.

So it would be. The borders of Great Zimbabwe would move north, and bring these tribes and great herds into the Great Kingdom.

Closer to home, there was news of a different sort. A large ship had been seen sailing off the coast of the Kingdom. This ship was from a far away land, and when they anchored to re-supply the people on board spoke in a curious language. They also looked very different than what normal people look like, as their skin was quite pale.

Prepared for the worst, a contingent of warriors met this ship as the strangers landed. But there was nothing to fear. Even if they had had weapons, they were far too weak to use them. They were hungry, and a closer look at their ship showed much damage to the sails.

We fed them and brought them some millet beer. After a few weeks they had revived, and with our help repaired their ship. It was then that they brought to shore some of the cargo they were carrying, and in exchange for some elephant tusks gave us a grand quantity of the most beautiful beads made from a material never seen before.

They really seemed to like the ivory and told us that it was quite valuable where they were from. In the rough common language that had developed over the weeks they were with us, they informed us that they would be back in many months with more beads, and asked us if we would have more tusks.

Great Zimbabwe Orders

- 9.5 MP towards the research of Colonial I
- 4XP to expand northeast and northwest as shown in the below map:

Ethiopia does not like the idea of having such a small buffer between our heartlands and a foreign power. We propose this division:

Ethiopia spends its 4XP on the two territories in Somalia, and the two territories south of us.

Our MP is used on Maritime I

Zimbabwe does not have any ill intention towards Ethiopia, but we do need space to expand. You have a lot of uncontested land to your north that you can expand to, and in the discussion group we have a thread dedicated to this topic.

As you can see from that discussion, I have already proposed a suitable division of the lands that treats all of us equally. All I ask is for the three southernmost territories on your claim map to be mine. Indeed I have already given orders to expand in this direction, including two of the territories you just sent orders to expand into.

Please re-consider this act.

@ Nedim: What happens if two nations try to expand into the same territory on the same turn?

EDIT: It seems you are not a member of the diplomacy group yet Mech: http://forums.civfanatics.com/group.php?groupid=488

EDIT2: You will also see from that discussion how much more fair to you my proposal was than the original one.

Persia, Gateway to the East. After almost 2000 years, the empire had been finally reborn, and under the watchful eye of Ahura Mazda. The one god would smile upon this day, for it marks the empire's return to greatness. Darius raised one army to protect both the regaining of old territory and the acquisition of the new. He also put his country's remaining income into building a library (2.5MP) to make knowledge more obtainable for future generations. He was almost satisfied with his country's length, now he would merely have to rebuild his empire from scratch. This may seem a daunting task, but he would later be known as the greatest emperor Persia had ever seen since his namesake. There would be no stopping Persia from reuniting.

ooc: the most west I'm going is that salt deposit. Byzies are welcome to the rest of Asia Minor. Due to me basically cutting them off in their east, I'm gonna be nice when trading.

Question. Can we invest in something? (Pay 3 MP first turn, 2MP the second turn?)

We'd prefer it if you stopped at that one anatolian province, if that even. Instead you should focus on re-uniting your own lands in persia.

Persia won't take the salt area if you promise to trade us fruit in the future. We will have an ample supply of grain by the time we will actually need a navy.

Sounds reasonable, although I will have plenty of grain also. Perhaps you could trade me some gold for the fruit?

That's just money, I'd rather not.

Persia will have slaves and spices next turn, and Darius plans on gaining opium and coffee in the near future.

ooc: How long are turns?

How about wood? Can you get me some of that?

The lands of the east are not well known for their timber.

ooc: look at the map.

How about just assurance you will join in the first defensive war(if there's one at all), that I fight?
