Is is true?! that you will be able to have max 4-5 AI Civs?

I'm compelled to imagine it might be because they only have like 5 antiquity Civs

That would really suck but it would make sense if they only had time to make 5 Civs x3 ages for 15 total... With some extras.

Or just overall a small amount. Maybe they plan to add large maps and more Civs as update or DLC or something

There's just Egypt but with an increasingly implausible set of disguises on Cleopatra.

There has been one 20 minute promotional video. I'm happy they didn't use any of them to talk about mods.
? they have being developing this game for years and no mention zero , Civ 6 they did thou dodge the DLL support .
I hope there is some sort of modding even if severly limited

I don't think it would have any more impact than supporting older PC hardware. PS4 specs are comparable to just an older PC at this point, which lots of people have.
The PS5 came out 11 years ago and it was comparable to a mid-range PC at the time. I wouldn't say it's comparable to an older PC, more like the Rosetta Stone at this point.

PC hardware has a pretty long lifespan now - I think it's easy to overlook that when part of a hobbyist gamer community. Brand new computers are still sold with on-board graphics and 8gb of RAM.

I remember the days when folks would ask, “Yeah, but can it run Crisis?”

Civ VII should be the present day equivalent. Folk should buy or build a brand new PC just to run it, and in turn the devs’ ambitions should be fully realized, having no concern for hardware restrictions.
I think the devs would love that :)

I think we should avoid rushing to conclusions. First guy is asking if there's a fire - nobody here has seen the fire. Some people are blaming the consoles for the fire(?!).

Regardless, we will likely find out before release.
Yes. Meaningless conclusions in my opinion. Just how much Firaxis even spends time optimizing console ports? Do we even know who does it this time, Aspyr again?

Civilization needs to be on consoles to make up the costs. PS4 is kinda strange bird around, it doesn't even sell software much these days. Only thing console gamers need to wary is potential Aspyr interference this time also.

The game is like six months out and they're basically just doing teasers right now. I don't think they're going to get down in the weeds like that until much later.
