Depends on whether the redhead has a clue how to play my games, like [wiki=Go (game)]Go[/wiki]. If she's willing but clueless, I'd probably pick the pokemon game.

I doubt there is any woman smart enough to play go, but that's the result of this pop-infested rap crap spewing culture.

Then you are a ma, you just lost your n.

Once again, no one cares what you do unless they themselves need excuses to feel better about themselves. In this case calling names.

Yeah, Pokemon is gay.
Brave words considering how many posters here say otherwise
Brave words coming from someone who plays Pokemon.
Playing Pokemon does not make you a coward or weak in any sense

and this is a pot and kettle thing, since you play games and surf the forums online, which is equally nerdy

we're all nerds in that sense, although it's not really nerdishness...but whatever

It is easy for a coward to mock that which others mock. It takes courage to stand apart, to stand alone, to do what YOU want to do without any regard to whether or not others will like it

or think it's cool

so yeah, I guess they are brave words ;)
 This thread is brilliant

@svensken: play on whatever floats your boat.

Meaning that you should do what makes you happy!

;)

Pal at work recently got "infected" by his ten year old son... (he's over 36)

Well there are other card games that are slightly more adult, like "Magic". But from what I gather the main downside with playing Pokemon is that it is so obviously directed at a very low age group, and that people mostly associate it with dolls and bad cartoons on TV. So that you constantly have to explain yourself to others.

I personally really do not like card games, but I have been told that it is great fun and you do meet lots of people...

I was trying to find some games for my little cousins, and then I found out pokemon and played it my self. I like it, but its really time consuming, and I dont have it anymore(time).

Its a game, there is no sin.

You'll stop when you're in high school.

Not really. I'm 20 and still play pokemon from time to time for the competitive gameplay. For such a supposedly juvenile game, it's suprisingly complex.
