So the Orthodox Church are fine on masturbation? Cool, I never knew that, or do you mean x religion not the Christian ones?

Ah I see, and x-posted on an x-post of the explanation of your posts x-post.

Not exactly, but there's no rule against it. :) That's because they never had the mentality of Catholicism about sexual pleasure in general, never did anything to stop it (not even in the middle ages). I actually went once to a priest, I don't know how this is called in English, when you say to him all the things you consider bad that you've done, and told him about masturbation, and he said "It's normal, at your age, don't be afraid". And on a teen forum I'm registered on, 90% of the users who voted in a poll (I could give a link but I don't want to advertise) did this before they were 16, so trying to stop it is not only stupid but also useless. :)

Not nearly as much as in civ. Pokemon is a rock-paper-scissors game. Granted, the civ4 combat system is essentially rock-paper-scissors, but there's a lot more to civ than combat.
That's a common misconception. For example, Muk is a poison type who is weak against psychic. But Muk also has a tremendous special defense and a quite high attack, and most psychic pokemon have weak defense, so it's more to it than rock, scissors and paper.

Confession you mean, I know imagine having to tell a priest every time you "spanked the monkey" or "bashed the bishop" or "shook sticky white coconuts from the love tree", or "dated madame palm and her five lovely daughters" or "went Hans Solo on Darth Vader's head", some teens would be in confessional like every day, some twice or more :)

Perhaps, but psychic Pokemon are fast and have high special and only need to hit hard a few times to knock a Muk out. The rock-paper-scissors is rarely overruled.

I think 'bashed the bishop' might be the worst term to use whilst in Confession :scared:

Repeat that to a lady and you're certain of getting jiggy with it.

Yep, the priest might think you've opened a really nasty troll thread about him.

I don't like any Japanese anime

Ah good! We have a sane one. ;)

On-topic, I think Pokemon is a good RPG game. I don't play it often anymore, but every now and then I will start a new game for nostalgia purposes.

And if you are playing it properly, then it is a lot more than rock-paper-scissors, Smidlee. Try ToxiTrapping, or PseudoHazing, or getting the most out of STAB, or... *Catharsis waffles on and on for five pages*

Where I go to school, the three main games are Yu Gi Oh, Magic and Pokemon. So us magic players give Yu Gi Oh players and Pokemon players a hard time, and vice versa, and they give each other a hard time. All in good fun. Hence the "ha ha" response

Who cares? Someone plays pokemon? Yeah so what? Its like being gay: Nobody but idiots who can't mind their own buisness care

Edit: Not that i'm comparing pokemon to homosexuality :mischief:

If the comment came from a CFC user, you could respectfully remind them that they are posting on a site dedicated to a video games....

The whole thing about pots and kettles being black, and calling one another as such.

Perhaps we need a Pokemon Informational thread.

What's the appeal of pokemon is, if it's not the TV show?

Dude, the TV show was made to capitalize off the immense success of the Gamebody Game. It was a Gamebody game first and foremost, and as far as I'm concerned, that's all it is.

For your information, after I log off tonight, I'm going to finish my way through the Rock Tunnel. :smug:

Pokemon is a great card game, video game, and the original movies and TV weren't that bad

...it's just way too expensive

Then again...I lived in Japan during the great Pokemon craze, so my opinion is not only biased, but the prices (and lines...oh how I hated those lines  ) were insanely high.

EDIT: Yu-Gi-Oh, Duel Masters, and all the other wannabes and spinoffs are an abomination and a corporate scam

IMHO ;)

I used to play this game. But then I lost my fingers in a terrible gardening accident and I'm reduced to typing on my keyboard with a toothpick in my mouth.

It was a rather fun game, however, like most things i enjoy, its entertainment values fade away. Its like buying a DVD of a movie you never saw and everything looks so new and shiney on the screen, but after watching it 50 times it turns out the effects are just as messy and scratched as the DVD.
