is there a save game tool that works with 1.21f?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Unless i have missed something, with the new 1.21f editor, you CANNOT add or delete units (and improvements, wonders, or anything!) I'm not sure whether this has been stated yet or not, but here I am. S***! This is crap... Someone needs to get a hacked 1.21F editor out here, fast!
 
Unless it's a bug, Firaxis just tanked. :confused: I can't believe they'd actually do something that :crazyeye: I mean they have seen these forums, right?
 
Hi Exsanguination.

My workaround for this is to put a copy of the ver1.17f editor in another folder, in this case "Scenarios". Then I put the "*.bic" I want to add units to in the same folder, add the units I want there, and save. Then open the editor in the root folder (the one with the "Civilization.exe" file) and edit away. I haven't gotten anywhere near through a whole game yet, but it seems to work OK.

My civeditor 1.17 doesn't want to open a civ.bic 1.21.

A quote from the official Civ3 site:-

"Based on the feedback from the mod and scenarios community we will make additional improvements and incorporate new features. The editors are just tools, ones that the fan community needs to make meaningful by creating new scenarios with. As those in the 'trenches' of creating new content run into limitations, we'll work on eradicating those barriers."

Well here's a barrier that need eradicating.... WE CANNOT ADD NEW UNITS WITH THE LATEST PATCH!
 
Solution: you can add more unit with the civ3 copytool.
 
need the save game editor to load starting position for marla's map.. read the gramphos editor thread and he says the old build should work with 1.21.. but mine gives the "not civ3 savegame" error.... is it just me? or is that a know problem already..

i believe someone already posted a hacked civ3 1.21 editor with the add/delete button on the utilities forum

papajohns, please read the rules for the particular forum you are posting. Some of the creation forums are only to be posted in when you have a modpack, ultility, graphics to add, not to ask questions. Please try to limit your questions to the main Creation and Customization forum. Thanks.

i dunno about the rest of the crap, but all most ppl really need in a savegame editor is a tool to load the correct starting positions. the large majority of scenarios arent worth playing without correct positions, and i was rather upset to see that the savegame modifier in civ3multitool was 'disabled.' even if the rest of the functionality doesnt work, we desperately need some cpf utility that works with the new patch.

also had a question, if one were to start a scenario in 117, cpf it, upgrade to 121, then load the fixed sav, would the 121 changes be present in the sav? i seem to remember something about 116 to 117 and air superiority still not working if the sav was from 116

If U wanna continue customizing savegames and fiddle with units, don't (thats a DON'T) use the latest Patch. It has ONE lil' new feature- it doesn't allow changes made with the editor (i.e. stats) to be transphered to the savegame- I did use it and cannot use my save with the old patch anymore (got some buggy unit in there- either the specops, scud launcher- and I realised too late that the air transport has a buggy flc- I cannot even make it obsolete anymore- TXT a lot Firaxis !!!!!!
