And as the Nortuguese armies poured into the capital of United Adena, slaughtering the soldiers they themselves had armed, the Pinnacle Chief simply laughed in the face of the Nortuguese commander who had arrived to demand his surrender.
"You amuse me invader. You underestimate my people's resolve. You can kill me and seek to silence Adena, but like the Sun, Adena always rises victorious in the end. My twilight is one of my son's* Dawn. Adena never falls."
The Nortuguese General simply ran him through, and as the Pinnacle Chief lay on the ground, bleeding out, he sputtered, "Adena sets, to rise again."
And the Nortuguese stood alone in a foreign land full of Mounds and Men.
