I've decided I don't like firefox.

I find it crashes about once a week on me (I haven't a clue why). I despise IE like everyone else, so I've switched to netscape. It never fails me, and it emulates both Firefox and IE page displays, so no screwed up Firefox page diplays.:D

Feel free to comment on Firefox's awesomness, netscapes' stupidity, and why I'm an internet-idiot:p.

This may be completely incorrect, but I have a strange feeling that Firefox crashes often in conjunction with surfing CFC. I have no idea why this should be, but often it hangs on me when I'm surfing the CFC forums.. otherwise it seems to perform just fine.

Could there be any rational explanation for this? (or am I just surfing CFC so much that it only seems to correlate :))

You might want to try Opera, too. Which version of Firefox were you using?

I got firefox to block out that virus that was hidding in the CFC banner ad awhile ago.

Firefox is awesome because you have these things called add-ons! Yay for open source!

Firefox has been a godsend to me. Zero problems, but when I had Opera it crashed a lot.

Yessss... I know that. Your point?

The point is that whatever qualms you have with Firefox can easily be remedied without much difficulty. :)

And plus...

Are you telling me that I don't get to stick up for the best browser ever now?

Firefox crashes often on a site I use regularly. It's bound to be the site's fault, but I'm forced to use Opera instead, for that site. I used to use Opera until I realised Firefox had a Gmail notifier.

Name me the addon and I'll use it, but I don't want to go hunting for something which may not exist.

Sorry, spelling FTW.

Have you tried the IE Tab extension? Works pretty good when it is the site's fault(which it usually is).

It's too bad FF isn't working out for the OP. All I can suggest is making sure you have the current version, and no virus issues.

I have been using Firefox for years now and I never had a problem with it that would make me turn away from it.

The main problem I've had with Firefox lately is some huge memory leak. When I use Firefox for an extended period of time it seems to consume huge amount of memory.

But I wouldn't switch to another browser, because nothing beats Firefox's adblock.

Are you using tabs or opening multiple Browsers. Also Minimizing Firefox helps when your not using it.

btw frob are you using the newest version of firefox?

Nobody really wins the special Olympics

=(
