But seriously I believe it was the combination of the jet crash/explosion and the fires which weakened the steel.

I think the question is if our government could of done more to stop the attack and if they ignored warnings of the attacks.

Your gov did quite alot. A majority of the hijackers were listed as suspected terrorists or security threats. The CIA also had some good info on that an atack was going to happen.

That's all on that topic. Don't know much more really. I'm not to interested in who or why just what. Who or why will come out sooner or later anyway.

I don't see the option for:

The planes crash into the building(s). The burning jet fuel weakens the steel construction.

I was looking for that one as well. The conspiracy theorists are right on one point, jet fuel doesn't burn hot enough to melt steel. But a 50% reduction in strength is pretty detrimental to any building.

Thats what the thermite theory advocates belive as thermite can burn at 4,5k.
