Jade Torcs: The new unit of currency in Erebus

You could have events which were specific to their Dungeon too. Encountering the ghost of Succullus in the Tomb of Succullus or freeing Odio from his prison. These could have other effects: Odio could be a super strength giant unit. Ghost of Succullus might be a great person whose building provides Medic 2 to all units built in that city.

Indeed the "map" event could also have a variation...

"An old man offers to sell you a scroll which holds the key to a great secret..."
* Receive a scroll to free Odio (or whatever) if you pay X gold
* Ignore.

Although the cost is given as X gold, this could be another value, as befits the reward. e.g. A vampire lord might drink 1 point of population, an archmage might take all the research you currently built up in one tech, a wicked Faerie might steal the joy from people's hearts (-1 Happiness) for 10 turns.

You don't know a whole lot about FfH lore, do you?

The Tomb of Sucellus is not where Sucellus was burried, it is where the pieces of his body were reassembled so that his soul could return and bring the god back to life. There is no "Ghost of Sucellus", as the former God of Nature is now very much alive as the new God of Life. Also, as a god, I don't think he is really able to stay in creation without breaking the compact, so he would not personally stay here. He would mostly stay in his heaven, although he is greatly respected by all other gods and can freely enter any of their vaults too.

Odio is the Archangel of Body/Rage/Hatred, who led an army of Ira to continue fighting the godswar after the truce was called and thus had his god's protection removed and was trapped by Kilmorph. He would clearly be an evl demonic equivalent of Brigit, with immortality and all.

Well, in Age of Ice there were 6(?) tombs of Succellus in creation (in the lore) and each held a piece of Succellus frozen in Kilometers high spikes of un-melting ice, whith Mulcarn holding onto his heart, but besideds that everything is correct in what Magister just said.

Guilty as charged :) But the concept of having epic dungeons events based around the dungeon still stands. If Odio is a representation of Rage maybe an epic event could be:

"Creeping through your ancient surroundings, you can scarce help but be affected by the devastation all around. You heart races and fire burns in your veins. In your haze, you swear a voice say I will give you all their authority and splendor if you will but cede to me and act as my instrument of rage upon the world."

* Player may choose to replace exploring unit with a Beserker unit with Combat V but must declare war on all worshippers of Kilmorph.

...likewise if the prison were explored by a Civ that worshipped Kilmorph the result might be...

"You dare oppose me. I, who will live til the moon burns, the sun withers and oblivion swallows all. Renounce your petty faith or my rage will spread like a disease through your lands, a permanent scar as to the folly of all mortals."

* Either renounce Kilmroph or
* Your civ gets a -3 Diplomatic penalty with all other Civs.
