What good is it to you? It is definitely good for your people, and it will allow you to start a new nation sooner, thus making it stronger.

I'm not in the mood of starting a new nation, I'm in the mood of taking existing strong nation and kicking it's neighbours ass. Besides, the war is not over until it's over.
