JalNES I: Quick and Easy

Peace with Rome!

You knew I would, Briton and Eire. You have yet to help me and from your posts you don't plan to.

I know. Why did you think I demanded iron before we "did" anything? No offense LM, but I have to admit I was stringing you along ;]. Its nice to be on the other end for once.

You do know You owe me for that Iron. 2 EP each. If not i will be pushing LB out of Iberia. And you to.

Pfffffft. Carthage got owned by theirselves if I remeber right. You better gain some allies if you want to do that kiddo.

OOC: You know, can someone please tell me the IC reason for Carthage sending iron to Eirehann and Brittania? :p And stop spamming trying to increase your post count peoples :p

Rome and her allies are happy to announce that a peace treaty has been agreed with in Carthage. (OOC: I'll post the fancy treaty in around 24 hours :D)

There is no IC reason. I merely "told" LM that if he was to give us iron, we'd assist him in his war against your ally (and you). Of course, that was a lie but it worked- iron for free!;].

Tell your men that when they are crushed in Iberia.

I hope that your people get confused and angry when you start a war with Rome, end it, then declare war on your former allies after having just declared peace with Rome. As for the payment for the iron, you've got to be kidding me. There was never any deal for payment, and I only wasn't helping you because A) I figured you would pull something like that and, B)

Rome also announces have gone well with Carthage and soon a formal peace will be drafted
not three minutes after one of my posts that was the earliest possible indication that I might not have intended to help you. As I find it hard to believe to came to a peace agreement in three minutes, that pretty much proves you were already planning to stop helping us.

No matter which way you cut it, I have no plans to attack Rome. Shall we start talks regarding Tartessos or is this ridiculousness going to continue? I did what you asked and explained myself and generally proved I had no intentions to attack Rome, need more?

I changed sides only when Briton decided to back down on fighting Rome. And paying for my Iron. I clearly told you both you would pay for it after the war with Rome. I had been i ntalks with Rome for a long time, and peace was not so hard. Why fight Rome when I have no reason to. You cannot say I betrayed you. When you did al lthe betraying. Like stealing Iron, and backing down from fighting Rome.

I only agreed to fight Syracuse. ;) I wasn't dumb enough to attack Rome.

Hey jalapeno, I saw the sign saying this was open. Sign me up please! :D

Believe Contempt has already reclaimed Yamato, as of post 1614 in this thread.

EDIT:@ LM: So we're betrayers because we refused to attack Rome when you weren't planning on attacking Rome in the first place? Also, if you find the relevant diplo that says I agreed to provide 2 EP, I will pay it. As it stands, I don't remember agreeing to that. Dark worked that deal out with you, not me.

Oh come on. As I said above Moose, it was all ME. LB had very little to do with it, if you don't remember. All he knows is that I managed to get you to give us iron. And I suggest you start recording what you say- our assistance-which would never had been given anyways- against Rome was to be payment.

I never planned to attack Rome in the first place- why in the world did you think I had so many problems with the distances and timelines? I did what I had to do to secure iron and I did just that- we now have iron. How in the world- taking yourself out of the equation- could you blame me?

As for your reasons for war with Rome, how about the fact they defeated you so badly in the 1st Punic war? Last time I checked they overran you and forced peace in one turn. I did not back down from Rome because I never had the intentions in the first place. If you wish alex, I'd be willing to sign a NAP to prove it.

And Moose, if you really want war then you will get it. I'm serious- I'll bust out long orders for once. Drop away now and at least wait til you're strong enough to challenge us.

EDIT: Crosspost

Also Alex, I do hope you know the Moose is swaggering around threating to "push us out of Iberia" with your "help". See my reason for making it up?

Well prepare for war. And stop underestimating me. I was not defeated in the first Punic War. I just didn't want to fight it.

To: Briton and Eire
From: Carthage

We declare war on you for your diplomatic lies and the stealings of several tons of iron. We declare the protection of the Straight of Gibraltar the top priority of the Republic of Carthage. Our armies march, your's best be ready.

OOC: Oh god JD- expect long, drawn out orders. LB its time to gut another one.

Make that double, orders that is. Judge me after the update please. I don't need Rome's help.

:D Oh dear, oh dear. I'm shaking in my... :p Time for some fun...

As for your messenger, I shall quote the Odyssey:

Homer said:
Then they brought Melanthius outside,
And in their fury they sliced off,
His nose and ears with cold bronze,
And pulled his genitals out by the roots -
Raw meat for the dogs - and chopped off
His hands and feet.

Thus Melanthius, thus your messenger. Signed, sealed, and delivered, proper payment for your "gift" of iron.

I'm oh-so not in the mood for another long, drawn out war. I have enough to do with Harl's nes and EQ's- not to mention LINES looming in the future. And LB, I hope you know that I (personally) will accept no peace with Carthage- it will burn before any surrender is accepted.

It's time Littleboots. War with a PC. :D

Finally... this time they won't see my orders before making their move ;)

JD does not play his NPCs as pushovers. Or maybe he just likes giving the west a hard time :p

EDIT: Enough spam! Alex, I demand we discuss Tartessos the next time you're around, we've obviously been having a misunderstanding about this whole thing.

EDIT2: Dark, I understand the feeling ;)

From Prussia
To Eirehann

Our peoples have seen nothing but peace and trade will you sign a 4 turn NAP?

LB, could you please answer this diplomacy. I may have missed it in your guys constant OCC rambeling :)
