Jimmy Kimmel vs Craig Ferguson vs Conan Obrien

I dont get it. Youve got what, 50 or 60 regulars here in OT who either lurk, participate, or just hang out but never say anything. Out of all those, the same number of people who like Conan, dont watch any of the late night shows, and of those, only one watches Craig Ferguson?? OT is a truly strange land.

I stumbled on Craig completely by accident. I was always a Conan fan, but after discovering Ferguson, Ive never gone back. IMO, by far, hes got the best monologue of all the late night guys, except for Leno.

My main problem with the Man Show was that it just wasnt funny, and was too centered around tired old cliches. For what its worth, I give Kimmel credit for having the chutzpah to try and carve out a mainstream audience, Ferguson on the other hand knows that practically nobody is aware that he's even on the air, or who he is, so he doesnt give a crap and goes the extra mile. He said the ef-word last night, for example. You'll never hear Conan say ef-u, thats for sure. That in and of itself isnt enough reason to watch it, but the guy happens to be funny as hell too.

Funny, you could have wrote this about Conan ten years ago. Now that he has the Tonight Show gig coming up, we can't expect him to go crazy. I liked Ferguson on the Drew Carey Show. He's a decent host.

Yeah but then Ferguson would start to clean up his act in the same fashion as Conan in preparation of his next job. And I don't think it's the NASCAR fumes that have been messing with Letterman's brain. My money is on the Will it float? segments. That girl with the metal grinder turns me on in a very weird way!

What about Jay Leno??? He's definitely the best. Much more funny than Conan. I consider Jay Leno the best, David Letterman is gay, and Conan is gay sometimes and funny at others. By gay I mean either stupid, not funny, or redundant.

Seriously, I flip to Letterman one time and he's talking about something related to Mexico. Not funny, yet he spends like 5 minutes on it. I go back to Leno. Funniness to the max. Then commercial, go to Letterman and he brings back the thing about Mexico. Still not funny at all, but they put the signs up and everyone laughs......
