I was going to investigate the recreation area, but I don't think it will provide us with all that much information on Day 1, so instead I will go with a quarantine (because, as Takhisis said, I believe it much more likely that someone who is NOT the Thing would be killed).

The group blankly stared at Takhisis.

What do the "2 to 3 phases" and such mean?

If you investigate a room by yourself, it will take 2 to 3 phases to complete, or however long it's listed. A die roll determines how long it actually takes. If it takes 3 phases, for example, you will be in that room for one night, the day after, and the following night. During that time, you will be absent from any Day votes.
