"Jumping to Prince" SG

We just need to slowly turn peeps against Toko. Dont have Toko make peace with Alex, we kind of need him to actually attack alex to start getting him hit with neg modifiers...i think

How are we doing against Peter's culture on NewFoundLand?

Did we make any progress in reducing how people feel about Toko?

We've got Elizabeth and Frederick for sure now as votes. Toko has Monty and Peter

We gotta turn one of those two.

It sure looks like no one else on the island is producing any culture. The monastary there was finished in my turn-set. I produced a forge to help speed up further cultural buildings there.

We don't have any current prospect of growing a Great Artist. I was going to switch the two scientists in Tours (I think) to artists but didn't want to make the decision to reduce our science output without discussing it first. I vote we switch them to artists now. Our current civics give us 3 bonus flasks of research for all specialists so the hit is somewhat mitigated.

No, both Monty and Peter were too preoccupied with Alex and refused to discuss Toko with me. I did refuse an offer for Open Borders with Toko, though. It would sure help if we could catch Budhism. I'm convinced that (plus all the cash we're currently holding) would help us bribe a war.

Do we have enough frigates now? Should we consider a few more to protect our west coast? The frigate in the SW corner can get to the main continent east coast in one turn. All the AI galleon traffic I've seen seems to eminate from there. I have a second frigate moving to our NW corner now.

Edit: we may even be able to construct a western Maginot by spreading our current fleet out a bit more.

I was thinking that we might want to put try to establish a colony on the other continent if for no other reason than to allow Buddhism to spread to France. If Monty, Fred or Peter razes one of Alex's cities, ther might be room for us to build a colony. I was thinking about this as I saw Peter raze Julius's last city.

Good turns all, and quickly played!! I've got the save now, and see what I can see ~ i'll try and get something happening w/Toku for now, but everyone may need to wait until the religion bonuses are gone before declaring.

I LOVE THE IDEA FOR A COLONY!!! DO IT!!!!!

Absolutely BRILLIANT call. We could make it a missionary speciliazed city, that's all it produces! Just gotta get a monastery up before they become obsolete.

Again, I wish I hadn't of given up so much tech for so little gain, but we do have economics + liberalism now that no one has. Plus I don't mind if they build up their armies, if it means that they attack each other.

I would like it if we produced 3 galleons w/Musketeers and placed them along the frigates (not a critical objective). These RRF (Rapid Reaction Forces) could be useful when we want to jump on an opportunity, because our assets would already be pre-positioned.

Plus, we don't even need a razed city, just a captured one. We can buy a theatre by switiching to Democracy.

**Putting a few Frigates on our Western Shore would be smart too**

Check out Alex's Northern-most city. Last I checked, it had a spearman and a longbowman defending it. There's a galleon sitting on our southern coast. Load it with 3 grenadiers in the next 10 turns and that city is ours. The city is within 3 turns of enough frigates to eliminate its cultural defenses long before the grenadiers get there.

@ Frank ~ why not just edit your post :)

Whoa, nice job, Pholk!

We could consolidate more frigates to the middle of the line if we're willing to move the northernmost and southernmost frigates each turn to expand their views.

Looks like you missed the race to Frankfurt by a turn. Nice try.

Smoke? ... er ... beats me. I never noticed that.

Thanks for the signs!

Welcome back! I subbed two rounds for you and will step back to just reading again. That makes the rotation:
