Prior to turn, move some specialists around, mostly to reduce starvation. (Sorry, didn't record what or where.)
Turn 443 (1833 AD)
Research begun: Biology
Turn 444 (1834 AD)
Grenoble's borders expand
Liz offers Railroad for Electricity and 890 GP - HIGHWAY ROBBERY!
Tenochtitlan falls to Germany. Monty has only one city left.
Turn 445 (1835 AD)
Chartres grows: 11
Turn 446 (1836 AD)

Rifleman loses to: Aztec Grenadier (7.44/12)
Damn! Was positioning our Riflemen Trio to view the demise of Monty. That bastard Grenadier was wounded and attacking across water!
Turn 450 (1840 AD)
Only two wounded units left in Texcoco and Peter has Cossacks ready to take it next turn. Two French Riflemen left, might as well go for it.
Rifleman loses to: Aztec Cannon (2.04/12)
*ARGH*

Odds were 89% to win and stuipid Rifleman loses! Can't take the city now, but at least our last Rifleman can get some experience.
Rifleman defeats (14.00/14): Aztec Cannon
Turn 451 (1841 AD)
SAYONARA MONTY!
Turn 452 (1842 AD)
*DOH!* Realize that I could have been starving Rheims to speed production of UN! Better late than never.
Turn 453 (1843 AD)
Peter demands Electricity: *Sigh* I suppose I'd better give in.
Before Peter trades it away, let's see what Liz and Fred will give me for it...
Trade Liz: Electricity + 580 GP -> Railroad (RR will add extra hammers to mined tiles.)
Trade Fred: Electricity -> 1180 GP + Map + Stop trading with Toku. He wouldn't give up Combustion. Jerk.
End turn Summary
With Rheims starving to increase production, UN will be done in 18. Cost to complete it is now ~ 12K. Currently 4K in our bank. Jericho, make sure you don't let Rheims loose any pop from starvation.
We could have had more in the bank, but I just couldn't allow research to remain at 0% for my entire turn, so I raised research to 50% for a few turns to hurry Biology along. (We can research it in 4 @ 100%; 6 @ 50%). Liz already has Destroyers, and Fred and Peter have Combustion. With our Frigate navy obsolete, I thought it best to continue to research so we don't fall too far behind in tech.
Toku has a couple of Galleons in Satsuma. I put a couple of French frigates just offshore to keep an eye on them.
Now that we have Railroad, I've activated our Workers to start improving the mined tiles around Rheims. Hopefully this might speed up production of the UN by a turn or two.
