KaiserIOT: Dream of a World

The United Kingdom would be willing to mediate a peace agreement where both sides could achieve optimal solutions

The Gethic would note that Yugoslavia cannot trust the Romans to keep to deals; we support the taking of all of Constantinople and the east Turkey by the Yugoslavs as compromise for the failure of the Romans to keep to a deal.

The Hartlepool Plan

Set out by the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office the Hartlepool plan suggests that dual administration of the affected area should be implemented. A State should be created similar to the likes of Hong Kong, this state will be called Constantinople. The state shall have an Elected Parliament and an appointed Dual Administration Committee.
The Parliament is elected by the citizens of the nation and can pass laws only with the consent of the Dual Administration Committee which is half appointed from Constantinople Citizens by Yugoslavia and half by Rome.
To ensure that the split nature does not mean that there will also be a group of 10 citizens of Constantinople appointed by the Parliament in order to break ties between the two.

Parliament would have 48 seats the Dual Administration Committee would have 30+10 for tie breaking.

In matters of foreign and defence Constantinople would be legal required to maintain neutrality.

Rejected.

MAKE IT BUUUUUUUURN
BUUUUURN THE HERETICS
BUUUUUUUUURN
This was not the intended result Darrel had wanted. He quickly opened up a small box and procured a pill, which he quickly swallowed. Maybe it'd keep the noises he was hearing at bay.
He looked at Matthew.
"Well, are you ready?"
"Yes, boss"
"I need to know where He was created."
"of course, boss"
and so Matthew stepped into the contraption.
---
And so he stepped out.
Or he would have.
He crawled out and grabbed on to Darrell's leg.
"Boss I've seen things, I've seen them, I've seen Marlene, I've- I've-"
"Shut up, Matthew. Have you seen Him?"
"Sir they- they- it's all a lie, it's all a lie, IT'S ALL A LIE!" Matthew was shaking.
"What is?"
"Veritas- he- he-"
Darrel quietly produced a pistol.
"-he's the one who- who-"
"Matthew McKinnon, I hereby declare you to have thoughts of heresy. I am sorry. The punishment is death."
"I- I- Darrel please, please make it end."
And so he did.

im just gonna wait until KE comes in to sort this mess out.

Rejected.

What other options would you like to consider? We could work something out if you gave us some idea of what you want out of this peace.

What concessions are you actually willing to make or do you just have a death wish?

we get all of Constantinople. the Yugoslavia has to permanently give up their claims to Constantinople and we dont destroy them.

I think that answers my question in that you don't really want peace negotiations to occur at all.

because they would not give up Constantinople, and we would not either. useless to discuss peace when the above is true.

Or you could reach a compromise as I have suggested

After the discussions here and in chat it is obvious to the UK government that no peaceful solution is going to be reached. The government of Rome has shown no willingness to compromise or negotiate.

We will request that should the invasion be a success that our allies in the International should implement the Hartlepool plan to show that at no point was this meant as an excuse to annex all of Turkey. The UK will expect to see a 3 state solution at the end of this.

The annexation of Turkey is not what the UK wants but is it what the "Romans" deserve; the Gethic fully support Yugoslavian military efforts to restore order in Turkey. There will be a one state solution in the end, for that is the way to security and order in the region, for the wisdom of Vancore is noted in these matters.

the Roman Empire transfers the money it would have made in selling Constantinople back to Yugoslavia. it was implied when we cancelled the deal, but apparently he didnt get it, so, its made obvious.

Why should Yugoslavia trust this act by the Romans? Yugoslavia is not angry because of money but because of Constantinople; hence we continue to support the liberation of Turkey.

Roma delenda est.

Roman Empire at war

the Emperor of the Romans, Andreas I Laskaris, and the Chancellor of the Roman Senate has met today in Ankara to discuss the fact that they are at war against Yugoslavia.

basically the economy will be slowly converted to war-footing. unemployment would drop, as military factories produce military goods as good as they can, and support the Army in a defensive war.

the senate has voted to increase our debt ceiling from 10% to 100% to further fund the war. so, we can send up to 100% of our GDP, which is higher than Yugoslavia, purely on war, if we wanted to.

the Military commanders received orders to be on hot standby at all likely invasion places, including Edirne and Constantinople. we have 500,000 soldiers, and we are only allowed to have that many, so we have a lot of manpower to spare.

if Constantinople is taken, Yugoslavia shall face a a worse nightmare: regional Military sectors. autonomous, isolated form each other sector (so capturing all of one doesn't break everyone else), and each sector can receive reinforcements from other sectors.

basically, we will focus on having a strong economy and a strong military. only through both, can the enemy be defeated.

Arctica would be willing to mediate a compromise.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office wishes you the best of luck. We tried and failed, hopefully you will achieve better results.
