I've launched a habitation module and a science module, I'm going to try a risky manuever to put them together that involves bringing my science module's peroapsis down to 45km. Hopefully, I will have enough fuel at the intersection point to raise the ap back up, but we'll have to see.
An unfortunate glitch on the launch of my hab module left it without an engine in a 150x120 orbit. Garh, this is going to be tricky.
I'm still having problems with the warp feature. It keeps saying I'm accelerating so it won't let me warp.

Aaaaahhhhh.
Coincidentally, this SAS also prevents your docking rings from sealing even if the magnets have pulled them perfectly together. I couldn't figure out for the life of me it wasn't letting me see all four kerbals and treating the whole thing like a station instead of two orbiters.
Then I hit the SAS button and *poof* problem solved.
Here's my station, nothing fancy. Yet.

HAHA! I completed my first docking between my capsule and space station! Boy what a thrill that was and the feeling of accomplishing the task! I spent a great deal of fuel getting there but I made it and I'm now ready to transfer two crew members to the new space station!

Don't feel bad, it took me an hour to dock my first two modules. Much longer if you count all of the failures.

Oh definitely. Attempting to get to one miniscule spot in orbit requires such precision and my capsule's center of gravity was wonky too so I was twisting and turning all the time.

I hear your pain. I keep putting all of my RCS thrusters near the center of mass. That's fine for stability (in that you won't get too many unexpected turns caused by firing RCS) but it also makes the modules turn like a brick.
Though I must say when you have successfully docked a few times and you actually paid attention to what you were doing (as opposed to blindly pressing buttons) it does get much easier.
Here's my station, it now has 2 science modules. I think I'll start adding some fuel tanks to it. I'm still afraid to dock to it sideways, it just seems harder to do though I know this isn't the case.

True story.
I wish they had given is more parts for the space station and rovers/sats too. It's neat to have them but they can't do much.
Did they make the mainsails even more prone to overheating?

The Cubic Octagonal Struts, the tiny structural cube, can be used to attach engines to anything. So you can make cool clusters.

The ion-powered River-Class Mk. I can safely roam the surface of Minmus at 20m/s, even on hilly terrain, thanks to its advanced engineering. A Mk. II is under construction and will be headed for the Mün.

This game calls for a lot of patience. After spending hours trying to dock my first fuel depot delivery, I gave up yesterday just a few meters from a port.
I booted it up today, and in less than five minutes, I had success!
You might not be able to tell in this photo, but the orange fuel tank was flown backward into the space station. The controls for docking are hard enough as is, but flying backwards is rediculously hard. I might change that for the next flight.
In any case, that orange fuel tank is completely full, so I can begin using this as a depot immediately. I am going to add at least 1 more tank though as this arangement is a bit unstable when SAS is on.
I'm thrilled! My station now has 8 Kerbonauts out of a compliment of 18. I sent home the capsule that drove the fuel tank with just one Kerbonaut, I transferred the other two to their new permanent posts on the station.
The launcher I used to lift that tank is enormous. Originally, it had an 8 stack of asparagus-staged orange tanks w/ mainsails around the central core. The capsule used to manuever the tank to the station turned out to not have quite enough fuel to rendevouz with the station, so I asked my friend to add a vit of fuel just to the lander as the stack had enough of a delta-v margin to lift the extra weight.
My friend did that, then double stacked another ring of orange tanks on the side boosters.
This thing is a monster and I think it could lift pretty much anything I could concieve of into orbit or beyond.
Edit: This time I managed to dock at the correct port on my first try! Man this is fun.
