Kill Bill 1 & 2 are perfect movies.

Nah, Shawshank Redemption, Blade Runner, 2001: a space odyssey(only if you've read the book though, otherwise it's pretty incomprehensible at the end), LotR trilogy, Cassablanca, Ice Cold in Alex, Radiers of the Lost ark, Starwars the first trilogy or is that second :), The Ring(japanese and english version are both pretty good) Seven Samuria, Yujimbo, The Excorcist, Beat street, A nighmare on elm street 1, Halloween These are examples of Genre perfection. Kill Bill is just an homage to perfection. Kinda like: The Greatest Song in the World by Tenacious D.

Same here but then that's kinda the point, have you ever watched Enter The Dragon or Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon?

Actually, the characters for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon were very believable, to me at least. What isn't believable about any of them?

BTW, Kill Bill rocked. But I loved the second part while only so and so liked the first part. Probably due to expectations. As a whole, the film was awesome.

EDIT: 2001: a space odyssey is perfection for those that have insomnia

Sidhe, I would agree that many of those you mentioned are also perfect movies (you forgot Godfather 1 ;) ). All movies pay homage, whether intentionally or not, to what came before them.

That they can fly for a start. Agreed but Godfather should be in there. There are probably a huge number of film Genre's I've forgotten

I was talking about the characters: their personalities, their ambitions, their values, their motives, etc.

Oh I wasn't but nm. Anyway I almost fell asleep through Crouching Tiger, I found it a bit dull, but that's probably just me being very tired. If I watched it again I'd probably love it.

Kill Bill was awesome and the first part I saw of Kill Bill 2 was awesome, but unfortunately I tried watching the second one after a lacrosse tournament of 8 total games and so I couldn't stay awake and I haven't rented again it since but I totally wish I had

This thread was revived so that someone could flame Curt, and if they bothered to read into the thread a little more they'd realize he was joking.

Gah!

Care to share your thoughts?
I thought it was dull. I didn't expect much from Quentin Tarantino but my GF at the time told me it was good so I gave it a go.

Certainly better than Matrix II though. :)
