Kingdom Come: Deception (Game Thread)

Well if everyone is going to roleclaim I will too. I am a villager. I can't read so don't send the list to me. I would like to have and read it, but as previously stated I can't read. I actually have a unique ability, but it only helps me and only under limited circumstances. So don't expect me to save you or anything, I am in it for myself.

I am inclined to believe all the claims, which means that pretty much my entire suspect pool has ______ evaporated.
This is what I was looking for to (temporarily) clear Tim in my mind. He said in the Franklin wolf chat that Town Tim second guesses himself even when both tunneling and accusing. (There was more context and info.) Even if this doesn't matter to anyone else, I am not inclined to lynch Tim rn.

vote: RRRaskolnikov

Nailing me to a wall and in a coffin is too easy. But if it's not you, find me a better person besides me (or Dolby, Tim, Csargo, and Samson.) I am not voting any of them. Or Tak. We are running out of options here unless someone is lying in claims.

@Arakhor even if somebody could read, would they be able to read a letter delivered to another player?
This question probably shouldn't be answered in-thread bc we don't even know if there is a letter and it would mod-confirm what Tim was saying one way or the other. I believe him, but y'know...

Dolbster you have betrayed me for the last time. That signature change was the last straw. Even though I have uncountable reasons to vote Tim, I shall vote: Dolbster.

@Arakhor even if somebody could read, would they be able to read a letter delivered to another player?
This question probably shouldn't be answered in-thread bc we don't even know if there is a letter and it would mod-confirm what Time was saying one way or the other. I believe him, but y'know...
This is correct, since it would confirm my claim...which does happen to be true. As to the question, as near as I can make out having the letter entitles me to a night action...passing the letter. I was going to pass it to someone, figuring they would be as perplexed as I was and I could watch what they did, but I changed my mind abruptly when the claims were flying. If someone I trust can read I'll pass it to them and count on them to tell me what it says the next morning.

I actually have a unique ability, but it only helps me and only under limited circumstances.

Why am I not surprised?

I am gonna knock out early. @RRRaskolnikov you can take my vote as a frustration vote and assume that it probably won't stick when I get back in the morning, because I will be basically starting from scratch...or from this status here:

Me: I'm town, I've been town, and my new approach to the game was working okay until I got irritated that no one else was gonna put Dolbster to the test. As a result the entire game blew up in my face and once again instead of catching wolves I seem to have outed every power role the town was blessed with and wound up behind the eight ball.

LordArgon: Has unsurprisingly made a 'mystery claim' that I find hard to take at face value based on past games. In the suspect pool.

TopSecret: Has claimed "tiebreaker." Dolbster believes this is a town tilted power, if real. I think it is real because it is too obscure and borderline useful to be claimed in the heat that it was claimed in if it were fake. I am mostly inclined to defer to Dolbster on application, which would make TopSecret town. Just having a weird power might account for him playing a little weird, so that also tips me in his favor. Edge of the pool.

Takhisis: Takhisis is the town dog, just like I am the stablehand at the inn. Anyone else would have taken that as meaningless flavor, but this role fell to Takhisis because of course it did, and now we are stuck with him barking. Maybe the barking in the night means something in relation to him having some sort of watchdog powers, and maybe it doesn't but we can count on either a restriction from Arakhor or his commitment to roleplaying to keep him from telling us. Ultimately, this is all too weird to include being a wolf. I can buy 3P survivor, and I can buy town, and either way I see no benefit in lynching him.

Pzelda: Hasn't claimed anything yet. I believe him wholeheartedly when he says he would rather play town, but I know he is very capable if the RNG hands him a short straw. He's been solvey but with all my strongest suspects suddenly out of the pool how he reacts to this turn of events is going to be like a new first impression

Raskol: Same thing as far as a new first impression goes, but I think he actually likes playing wolf. He is also one of the people I have to consider as the kind of strong wolf to take the lead in the wolf den and produce such a flailing mess for the town.

Johanna: Coming and going in regular Johanna style, but I was strongly considering as a wolf teammate for my more active suspects. With them fading out I'm left with Jo as maybe my best bet suspect.

Csargo: claimed doctor. The EoN read clearly indicates that there IS a doctor. Unless someone coughs up a counterclaim I have to believe this one, and on the face of it knowing that there is a doctor would make an out of the blue fake claim totally absurd.

Marcher: I was thinking town. I'm still sorta thinking town. But again the pool got a lot smaller so reassessment has to be done.

Dolbster: Went from number one suspect to town in the flurry of claims. The end. Glad to have you on board to try to sort this mess out.

Gamez: You're in it now. You've shown some spark, and you've had time to shake the rust off. Time to show what you are made of, on way or the other.

Samson: Vouch for Dolbster and you are both in the clear. I can't quite put my finger on any scenario where that doesn't happen.

AuKnight: If I lynch Raskol and he flips town you are my best remaining suspect for lead wolf, man of mystery who knows Visor from way back, so you need to step up and hand me a wolf on a plate.

Anyone who doesn't like their status is free to explain why not before I get back. I'm gonna have four or five hours before EoD and I'm planning to rally a serious mob and lynch somebody, just to make myself feel better.

The streets of Rattay were quiet that night, as they should be with a curfew in place, but still mischief finds a way. A dog barking furiously

Claimed Mason with Samson.

This is not necessarily a bad thing, if we are all telling the truth, for it narrows the suspects and gathers a town "base."

The problem is are we all telling the truth? But that usually comes out in the wash relatively soon.

I'm to reread the thread. Fwiw I think that I may have been hasty in my initial assessment of "TS is town because that role is town and he doesn't lie about that". I don't think that he lies about having that role for what it's worth. That fakeclaim feels like it should come as a plea to tie when he's a leading wagon and hoping for a favorable 50/50. Regardless, not endorsing an L on TS right now

Tak can you growl everyone you sus and lick everyone you like real quick?

I feel like Johanna's ISO is weak and not town reflective

vote: Dolbster for being total scum
Nothing to see here, I'd consider this normal

Hello hello!

Sorry I was gone so long. I genuinely forgot about this game until wayyy past midnight, and then in the morning I really didnt feel lile catching up. Caught up now though!

Shame, a few pahes ago I could have voted for Tim with all that new style lampshading. His insistence felt off. That said, I am puzzled that he is leading, even in a tie.

I think Tak is being Tak, but that's usually why he gets lynched, so I get it. Still, probably not smart.

Thirdly, RRRask seemed like a good pressure vote to switch to, but now that he's here, meh.

I dont think that Dolby is actually a wolf, but I'm nlt gonna vote someone just because they're annoying (Csargo, LordArgon). Which is also a shame.

When he said his enemy was illiterate, and because I assume most of us are illiterate, I thought maybe we had something there. Upon further reflexion, it is very likely that only each faction's king (and probsbly some PR) will be literate. We could create a smaller pool of subjects at the price of revealing our own forces. Not worth it.
This is a bunch of non-committal filler let me translate this.

Tims null
Tak's null
Rask null
Dolb maybe town
I don't have susses

Let me talk about literacy and then not do anything

Like, this just feels like first-time scum

Well, actually, I think I will be off Dolby.

unvote; vote: LordArgon

Honestly, I only skimmed the thread, but I didnt like his shenanigans. So maybe there is something very townie he did that I missed.
Pretty much a policy lynch vote. Just feels incredibly lazy, but he admits to only skimming the thread. I'd consider the filler in the previous post more sus than this because I'm playing much worse than normally due to IRL stuff, however, Jo is just not contributing and it doesn't feel good and pro-town. Last game he latched onto me in an instant (a lot of people did) but I was able to turn it around. It feels like he doesn't want to commit to a read basically

Hmph. I am misaccustommed to American hosts. I start catching up and it turns out EoD already passed. I am glad Argon didnt get lynched. Gosh it wasn't a good-looking wagon.

Dolbster was friggin hilarious. I hate his paragon shtick, but other than that detail he hasn't been like in that game. Tim is just his usual self, for all his talk. Sure, relatively laid back, but there are his instincts, barking up at whatever tree doesnt bark back. I think I wanted to make a pun there.

I would post more but twilight is almost over.
Looks better, I'll accept the short post bc of time constaints

Flattered as I am, I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow myself. I got like, what, 4 posts in the whole thread? Even for me that's a poor showing. Appreciate ya tho

Dolbster feels slightly off, but it also feels very different from the last game. I am rather on the fence about him.

Rask is feeling pretty townie. We came into the thread more or less at the same time but he's been putting some consistent effort. It feels right.

Tim is pretty townie, although not the most stellar kind. That whole dogTak paranoia post was loony bizarre. Perhaps a post only Tim would make. Not sure that's good or bad, but his tone in general feels pretty townie, 'new style' lampshading aside.

Samson I feel somewhat null. I dont know them, I dont know what they're about. He reads like a noob more than like either side. On that basis I lean very slightly town.

Pzelda is looking active. That's good, looking at his record. The tone feels right. Town lean.

Csargo is being active *and* helpful. Shockingly. I like the departure from heavy gifposting. He feels right. Very town lean.

LordArgon is a bit like Tim. Somewhat mixed signals but you have to control for, well, the fact that he's LordArgon. It feels lile his regular self. After dropping yesterday's shenanigans, I feel better about him.

Golden1Knight's vote yesterday was pretty surprising. I just don't see myself ever making that sort of vote as either alignment. It's pretty eye-catching, so unlike a wolf, but consolidating a runaway wagon? I never liked that. I'm gonna put a slight town lean on that because that vote as wolf seems both unnecessary and possibly suicidal. Still, very much worth keeping an eye on.

Takhisis is being Takhisis. The only insteresting thing Tim posited about them is that the Dog might be a 3P. That's an interesting idea. I would like to sign Tak into the town square, but so far the only thing he's done is confirm that it is him playing. Slight town lean.

Finally, no read on Gamez or Marcher. I liked MJ's entrance into the game, but is that their only post? It feels like it. It was a good post, too. Gamez I just, well, I can't think of anything. He's absolutely failed to make an impression one way or another.

In short, I dont see anyone openly wolfing. My pool of suspects atm would be Dolby, G1K, GR, and MJ, with Samson and Tak one level above.
Here's what I don't like and I want others opinions on it. I feel that the reads were easy to make and at the time consensus. I also don't like some of the justifications. He gives a town lean or a null lean to literally everybody. GoldenKnight is apparently his second biggest sus and he gets a slight town lean. On top of that, while I'm not going to say that I particularly sus GoldenKnight, that vote is 100% something that I can see maf doing, regardless of Takk/Rakk being T/T or T/S. My major takeaway from this is that he's afraid to sus people, and I'll admit that I feel like there's little distinguishing many people this game but this just goes beyond what others are doing.

I'm holding my vote until I actually see something I don't like.

By the way, can someone explain why Rakkoon was murdered? There was nothing so obvious about him to justify the size of that wagon.
This is bad
Oh wow, I just realise I forgot about talking about Topsecret. It's true that he's uneven, but I feel he's genuine. I put him in the middle of the pack.
Uneven but genuine just feels like a bad read, but again consolidating to the consensus

I still don't think that he's developed reads that aren't consensus

Are there claims now? I'm not a big fan of claiming nut I don't have anything important to hide as well.
While catching up I came across scheming of Dolbster and TS. I wonder what that is about.
