If we could write little blurbs for kudoses (that everyone could view) for other posters and only allow one poster to give another poster a single kudos, I think it would turn into a system for complimenting one another in a constructive, friendly, and community building manner.

we have a kudos system at another forum I go to. we call it Karma, its located under the postcount. the admintrator looks at the threads and notices who people agree/like and who people dont agree with/like. but the forum is only a mere 53 members , so the kudos system, or as they call it Karma, works. we have a too big community to have a kudos system, IMHO. one user had -4 Karma, which meant most of the community loather/disliked/not agreed with him/her.

Let's say, for sake of argument, that we're talking about Indian expansionism, or something.
We have very few Indians here compared to other members, so they're likely to be disagreed with, and have negative points.
Is that really a fair way to go?
