Large Map and New Civilizations are now playable

Why doesn't the Arabian core cover the rest of Arabia? It's not a lot of population, but subbing it in for, say, Iraq could help a little in destabilizing Arabia while further encouraging Arabian players to build up the peninsula. Like building the Burj Khalifa in Dubai (or another eastern city).

Because Arabia in the game is closer to Abbasids who historically had their "core" in modern day Iraq, with capital in Baghdad. Perhaps Saudi Arabia/modern respawn should have core changed, but given low impact of Arabian respawn its hardly an important matter.

It would be nice if Baghdad gets chosen as a capital if you skip founding Mekka.

Played the Hittite UHV! Quite fun overall with a decent challenge but not super difficult, the iron and copper goal being a mix of conquest and settling, and then the hardest part of the peace tribute goal actually being getting to contract on time, so you have to balance all that production and war with making sure to keep up in science.

One thing I will say is that at least on marathon, the timing of Phoenecia's war immunity is unfortunate - you can't declare war on them to get the copper on Cyprus or the iron east of Sur. Maybe there's another way to get one of those resources, but the way I ended up beating it and the way that seemed easiest is to just build a city up by Crimea for the iron there. Not sure how big a deal that is, as I suppose a lot of UHVs involve some degree of ahistorical behaviour :p

Actually, now that I think of it, maybe settling a city 2N1W of the copper on Cyprus might do it within the historical area.

While trying a Malayan game (Regent, Marathon), I came across a very technologically advanced India. Medieval by 136 AD, first to research five column 7 and four column 8 techs, Gunpowder by 857 AD, Cartography by 1010 AD. I cross-checked their in-game modifiers with Modifiers.py. I then discovered here that India has been using Phoenicia's modifiers

It seems like the Nubia modifiers weren't rearranged accordingly when its spawn was moved up from 1070 BC to 1650 BC.

When I'm playing as Arabs the gold rate sharply drops whenever I go from turn 17 to 18. Like from -7 gold per turn to less than -30. I check the city maintenance and the trade income but nothing changes. Is this part of the game mechanics or it's a bug?

And are the Nubians scripted to invade Egypt in the 600AD scenario? They almost always spawn 3 Horsemen and Catapult and declare war on Arabs at a random year.

You get free unit maintenance for the first 10 turns after spawn, make sure to check that.

I see that in many games, Ruthenia is not fully conquered by Russia or Poland. In some cases, it becomes a vassal.
As a small advisory, I will suggest what this state might be called under Russian vassalage. This is important because, in Russian sources, this region is not referred to as Ruthenia.
For a monarchical Russia, I recommend the name "Malorussia" or "Little Russia."
For a socialist Russia, I recommend the name "Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic." This name can be used for an independent socialist Ruthenia.
For a democratic Russia, I recommend not changing the name of Ruthenia due to vassalage. If independent Ruthenia were called the Republic of Ukraine in modern times, it should also be called that under Russian vassalage. There is no need to use the term "Krai" either.

The infamous 2014 "Novorossiya" would be a better fit for the modern day Ruthenian vassal of Russia in my opinion

I don't think that a short-lived unrecognised state would be a good name for a vassal.

If anything, i don't think that that Ruthenia/Ukraine vassal needs any special name - instead Russia should be inclined to solidfy its direct control over all lands of Rus'. Maybe the sole exception can be the Hetmanate because Ukrainian Cossacks enjoyed relatively high level of autonomy between the Treaty of Peresyaslav and Catherine's rule (but probably the Hetmanate should be the standard name for Reneissance Ruthenia).

Every vassal needs a special name.

I can't recall since the last time it was discussed but please correct me if I'm wrong, have the previously disabled Roman Empire barbarian unit spawns been enabled back again or is this fix in the to do list either way?

It is on the to do list but it hasn't happened yet.
