Latest Versions

Hello All,

This is the first mod I have downloaded for Civ4 or Warlords. Thank you to the authors for the mod and the ease of installation.

When I tried to run the mod through the Warlords or Total Realism icons, I would get a "Windows has reported an error ..." the game would then close and return me to the desktop. I had a look through this thread and saw nobody was reporting the same error.

I always play Civ4/Warlords in Single Player then 'Custom' to set the conditions I want. I started Total Realism again, this time selecting only Single Player and no Custom options. The mod loads and plays perfectly. Total Realism would probably have its own set of Custom options which I tried to negate causing the Windows error?

This is not a criticism of the mod, just a post for any other mod newbie that may encounter the same problem I did. Thanks again to the authors of the mod for their time and effort.

Hmm

Try reinstalling mod, and lauch Warlords 1st, than go to advanced, load mod and select TR there and then start a "quick" game. Than you should be able to play normally, if still you have any problems, you may have corrupted installation (not downloaded installer, do not mistake these) of eigther TR or Warlords, or you do not have required patch (2.08 for Warlords)

Sorry, I probably did not explain myself very well.
The mod installs and plays fine performing the steps you described.

I was not starting a "quick" game, I was launching Warlords 1st, then Advance, then to "Custom" options where the victory & game conditions are. Thats when it would crash. Not seeing anybody report it & being new to mods, I gathered I was doing something wrong.

It's a great mod but after a few hours playing I have a question. I see the time and the number of turns up the top right. The only way I can see what year I am in is to save the game. Am I missing something?

Thanks for your reply.

some peoples reported crash when using custom continent script (but i can't confirm this). i also get this crash, but second time with same options i can continue normaly (mostly this happend when you start TR mod after playing other mods)

regarding year: you are not missing, we removed year info from game, it is replaced with era info on left side

Hi guys. Any luck getting the mercenaries working. I already miss them.

This game is still one of my "top 2" due to your mod:) . I havent played the unmodded version in a long time.

Thanks a lot guys,
Bam

Hi TR team,
what are your plans? Will there be some new release before BTS?
Just curious, thanks for all your work on TR.

What a question my friend; does the bear sh*t in the wood? ;-D

Ofcourse! The next release will be coming in about 3-4 weeks. Definitely before BtS so that we have some time to convert everything to BtS for our TR 3.0 release. In the meanwhile you guys can enjoy the new Warlords TR version most likely branded as 2.2.

Cheers!

OK, three weeks passed, so next release this week I hope!!!:crazyeye:

Most of the stuff is done, some SDK components were a pain to implement and might yet take some time. On the brighter side, each day it's delayed brings lots of small improvements.

Not long before people bugging you all over Beyond the Sword version

Lucky its super easy to slow the game down yourself playing with XML GameInfo.
Just tried BTS myself, I had forgot what unmodded game was like, researching like 8 technologies before you build your first settler :crazyeye:
