Catherine de' Medici - 11

Poundmaker - 28 (31-3) What's the point of an elimination thread if the winner is obvious? :mischief:

What is the point of an elimination thread if the leader of such is deducted points just because he is leading and the spirit and rules of the thread are taken lightly even by the creator of the thread? This is, after all, the "Leader depiction elimination thread", isn't it? Shouldn't we be eliminating based on explained depiction arguments instead of just whimsical behavior on the part of the participants? I don't get it and you guys just took the fun out of it.

Poundmaker - 28
Robert the Bruce - (5-3)=2 His clothing is fine, but his face is too similar to Pedro's. I think they should have considered those facial reconstructions of his skull. Voice actor is a bore too.
Saladin - 7
Seondeok - (21+1)=22 I think the Silla style crown is a nice touch, so I'll give her a point for now.
Shaka - 12
Teddy Roosevelt - 21
Tomyris - 7
Wilhelmina - 9

He looks just like the Disney's Robin Hood version of King Richard. Who was, indeed, a lion.

Harald Hardrada - 7
Hojo Tokimune - 28
Jadwiga - 19
Jayavarman VII - 18
John Curtin - 7 + 1 = 8 (I have no idea why people dislike him so. He is well themed, well animated, has vigorous VA without being overly cartoony, and is among the more memorable personalities, if only due to the VA and anti-war defense theme.)
Lautaro - 22
Peter the Great - 21
Poundmaker - 28
Robert the Bruce - (2-3 = Eliminated. Fare thee well, bad Voice Acting).

John Curtin - 9 (8+1) Indeed a very nicely animated leader with good voice acting. Well designed, too. I'd put him not as high as Hojo and Cyrus, but right behind them.

Poundmaker - 28
Saladin - 7
Seondeok - 22

She wouldn't even be in this game if it weren't to showcase the multiple leaders mechanic. Not very important or interesting in my opinion.

Tomyris - 5 (4+1)
I don't think Tomyris is that wooden, her voice actress does a good job imo. Character model looks nice and the helmet is a good touch, even if Scythia was as questionable a civ pick as the Huns.

Wilhelmina - 9

Catherine de' Medici - Personally I think they did an awesome job depicting her whole deal via artistic design, even if her whole deal hasn't been that great gameplay-wise. 11 + 1 = 12

Poundmaker - All the drama around Poundmaker's selection and the Cree tribe bothered me. 28-3=25
Saladin - 4
Seondeok - 22
Shaka - 12
Teddy Roosevelt - I've got to give some credit to Teddy, it's always a pleasure to run into him. 21+1=22
Tomyris - 5
Wilhelmina - 9

Are you sure about that? :p
Saladin - 6+1=7 - He may have an oversized nose and a warrior depiction would probably be better for him, but there are worse models than him. He looks like a noble sultan to me. And why should him being a Kurd be a problem for making him leader of Arabia? Wasn't he the founder of the Ayyubid Empire? Also, remember that Catherine the Great from Civ V was actually German, not Russian, Cleopatra was Greek, CdM was Italian and Stalin was Georgian.

Because they did well to depict Saladin as more than just a warlord, but rather a man who came from a relatively humble Kurdish background to lead a new dynasty of the great Arabic empire.
Nope. He didn't come from a humble family (his father Ayyub was a general of Nur al-Din, whise armies were fournished by the zengids), nor did he lead a great arabic empire (by the end of his life, the empore was already declining, and he divided it in three before his deaths between his descendants : I wouldn't call great such an ephemerous empire, especially in comparison with the Umayyd, Abbassid or Fatimid dynasty ...).

Catherine de' Medici - 10 (13-3) - I can not state enough how much I don't want to be in game with France. To the point that I select 20 individual civs on the larger map sizes to avoid getting her at random

Please bring back Jadwiga on the list.

I've made a mistake !!! I actually did vote earlier, but put my vote on "quote" (I don't even know myself how made that) ...
Please, put a +1 to Jayavarman VII, and I'm sorry @Weraptor, but already eliminated Saladin earlier ...

Allright... Since Saladin was eliminated by @Liufeng, @Weraptor, please, write who you wish to downvote instead.

Catherine de' Medici - 7+1=8 - I really quite like her model, and I think that her voice acting is also quite nice. She was from Italy, so the fact that she speaks French with Italian accent and somtimes even switches to Italian is a really nice touch.
