Sweden? Name a time in history when Sweden herself (not all slavic peoples as one) was a world power, an empire, or a major economical factor on the planet. Not for Europe... not for Scandinavia, but for the whole planet. How about a colonial power? Ever? No? Don't site 2 or three measly colonies, give me large numbers of powerful colonies. How about Poland. Any? Come on, name one... still can't do it?

End this pointless thread that gives rise to nothing more than flamed posts and flamed emotions.

Mine wasnt a "veiled accusation of racism", it was a direct accusation of prejudism. At least half of your posts have been to tout your prejudism over a nationality or race. Just for examples: You horribly abused Portuguese people out of hand for no apparent reason (even when they responded gently and maturely)... you made a nasty and unwarranted comment about concentration camps (I dont see why you didn't get an infraction for that) and now you are attacking an entire people who have suffered immeasurably because "you dont want to see them on your TV" rolleyes: selfish filth) .... no concessions whatsoever, I dont make deals with bigoted prejudism.

At the end of the day, who really cares if somebody says something nasty on the internet or not? It seems to me that Evil Twin is half joking and half prodding people who will get offended by anything and everything. We should all grow up a little bit... And he does have a bit of a point, Ethernopia is a pretty worthless civ to include, although Firaxis could have picked a better African power and Evil Twin could've picked a better way of articulating the fact that Ethiopia is even more undeserving than Poland is as far as inclusion in civ goes. But hey, he got what he wanted -- all of your attention.

Whether Ethiopia is worthwhile or not to be included... the statement

goes beyond all bounds of acceptability.

I realise his entire aim is to start fires - it's glaringly obvious from some of the other ignorant and prejudiced attacks he's made in other threads.... but why should they be permitted? It is a hate post and that's against the rules (and normal society too.... if he'd have said that in my presence, I would have been far less polite in reply). I don't care if he wants to ignore facts and state fiction, but attacking a people who have suffered so much for so many years is undeniably disgusting.

lol, this thread is out of control

i almost feel bad for my response, this thread obviously needs no helps in getting people rilled up.

i'm quiet entertained.. i declare spearthrower the victor.

more on topic, i think one of the main factors that go into choosing civs is historical impact and the 'cool' factor, you have to remember this is a game they are trying to market, they want to pull in the most people they possibly can with the fewest amount of civs.

i mean, if i was running a business one of the first things i'd ask myself before adding a new civ is.. is there another civ that might bring in more people or be more popular, if there is i'd add that civ first.

i think there are a lot of civs they would prob add before they put in poland just because a large part of there market i would wager don't know much about it and there are still other civs that would draw more customers.

like it or not..

are they even coming out with another epansion.. you might be waiting till civ5 for your requests to be met lol
