Lets make a site record!

I don't know if this is the right place for this but...

I got this idea after CiV was anounced. Why not make a site record on the release date? Well this idea may become reality. Please be a part of this by joining and/or posting in the thread, and be part of the above supposed reality (and also vote in the above poll)

No, it's a record for the most people on the site at a given time, either on Sept. 21 or 24.

I think the release of Civ should be anything but a celebration..Its going to be a wake. Have you seen the grpahics ? gahh..steam is just one of many problems I have with the game...and I've been through a company killing my favorite game (moo3) so I see where this is all going.. I'm going to wear black on release day. I never wear black.

Well, you don't necessarily need to buy it. Just stick with Civ 3 or 4 and forget all about Civ 5

LoL. I disagree with your general negativity towards the Civ5 changes. But we both share some game breaking concerns over steam. Though I don't agree with your method of expressing those concerns! But I do like the idea of wearing black on release day. It is a day of mourning for me. Not cause I think the franchise dies that day (though it might be a start). Just that Civ5 is dead to me (unless teh steam arrangement changes). I still hope that Civ6 will be steam free. And if Civ5 flops because steam interferes with enough players games - perhaps Civ6 will come sooner than later.


Oh and I think your idea to set a site attendance record to be a cool one, GreatLordofPie. I won't
participate unless steam lessens its grip on the game. But I support the idea, and think it very cool!

OMG! Its out on September 21th???? That's months sooner than I expected oh, and I'll be on for the NA release, I suppose, since so few want the international.
