A bong hit in between turns would slow down T's gametime, so I don't think that's an option.

Regarding the sig-I HAD to do it, takes me back to the good ole days when I was young playing Civ 3 and Diablo 2, and, well, taking bong hits DURING turns.

Any plans for a 3rd one of these? Get that laptop fixed yet? The first two were fun to watch so im hoping you continue to do them. As if playing civ4 and reading the forum aren't enough... nice to be able to watch someone else play too. The no clicking, no reading way to learn about civ.

No, the laptop isn't fixed, and likely will not be until semester's end at earliest . I'm not exactly in a position where I can afford to do it, timewise or monetarily.

At the risk of repeating myself, I just wanted to thank you again for your great examples. I decided to play my first Emperor level game and was able to follow your example of gifting the appropriate techs to the smallest, least popular civ so they could build the UN and folks would vote for me. This time, I added in the idea of building all the wonders on that path on the way, so my 'patsy' civ wouldn't try to build them, and also racked up enough EP points to see when he started/finished the UN. Even though Justinian was a monster tech/military power (as Toku found out when he declared war on Justinian and I joined it), Justy was my best bud and voted for me. The first UN vote, I was 4 votes short (!). Tear down the workshops, build farms; the next vote was my victory.

What's your advice going to be? 1) "Work Faster", or 2) "Be aware of hidden modifiers in contract negotiations" ?

Well actually, Microsoft did "gift" a good bit of "ignore copyright infringement" in China, then once users got used to it bought in to package its software with hardware sold there. Gates even said something along the lines of "let them use it for now. They'll prefer it, and then we can charge". MARKET PENETRATION!

I work pretty fast, which is why I still have a presence here in hell semester . But, those RL hidden modifiers are surely a drag.

One must choose the correct bloc too! Can't give into demands from everyone!
